You know what, I'm glad that the worker from Naughty Dog released the spoilers. I'm proud of them for taking a stand against really shitty work ethics and saying "No, this is what you get."
How is it any different from someone whistleblowing their place of work? How is it any different from boycotting places like Wetherspoons, Sports Direct, Travelodge, who refused to pay their staff during Covid-19?
These game workers are trying to finish a game DURING A WORLD WIDE PANDEMIC.
The people working in the games industry deserve to be treated as workers, and not as mules. They shouldn't have to work crunch time, be given unrealistic expectations and have all that pressure put on them to the point where they feel wholly responsible for the failure of a game that should have been given more time.
The same thing happened with Bioware/EA and I can say with complete honesty that it makes me RESENT THEIR FUCKING GAMES. I don't enjoy them any more because I think about the shit people had to go through to deliver me a product AND IT MAKES ME FEEL SHIT.
So, good on the worker who fucker up The Last of Us 2, because it's about time someone stuck it to massive corporations and demanded better treatment.
(Also, I read the spoilers and it sounds like it sucks. But that's just my opinion.)
