favorite thing about them: the entire concept of playing as an object itself, with all the baggage of the object being pissed off that it's being treated that way, but also internalizing what it is because of... what it is... in a sea of the exact same war vets and rich sadboys he sticks out and i love that. i'm happy that his projected endgame is not "i wanna be human" but "i want to be something of my own". and his sister termina is literally everything i ever wanted in an npc

least favorite thing about them: this is more a complaint on an element of him, but still. it's odd how bolaire has never thought to ask for a working, non-fluidy human body in the same way that tyranny and her sisters got theirs. he knows about demons and the seedy underbelly, and you know his ass is making deals left and right, but he never thought to get his own body that way? it feels like something that's oddly not commented on by anyone.

random headcanon: look i don't even fully believe this headcanon but i've seen it floating around that bolaire is meant to be a snotty teenager and that is so fucking funny conceptually that i cannot help but support it. have you ever wanted to shake your teen self by the shoulders but your teen self is a literal mask who has insane powers

unpopular opinion: i feel like bolaire himself is going to be the one to point out that it's fucked up that he kinda sorta is a leech with a shotgun. it did annoy me that every time they could have addressed it and the players TRIED to address it, brennan brushed it off (whitney/tyranny going out of her way to make adora's abduction horrific only for brennan to "justify it" and make adora a racist sexual harasser). but if i had to guess why, it would be because he is looking at this from a mechanics standpoint. and bolaire abandoning an admittedly powerful tool because he understands that it is not worth it to hurt other people would be a very powerful step forward for him.

also i feel like i'm the only bolaire fan that actually likes termina and wants her to be happy and free instead of wanting her dying for the crime of making him sad :|
