She looked over them. Not judging, but simply...watching. learning. She wanted to know everything.

The stars in her eyes did a spin, as if to affirm the idea.

The two froze what appeared to be a minor altercation of some sort. The one dressed like a scientist was holding the more insectoid one by his shirt collar, scalpel held to its chest. The latter had bitten into the formers arm, tail poised to strike.

They quickly disentangled and stood at attention, regarding the newcomer. Jay looked with wariness, "Jack" with curiosity. The latter broke into what was supposed to be a friendly smile that ended up being a little too wide. It stepped forward.

"Hi there! Nice to meet ya, little miss. I'm Jack, I'm a doctor for Mr Gideons care facility." It didn't say Scientist. People weren't supposed to know there were scientists working, at least not like that. It held out a hand for a handshake, the slightly bloodstained sleeve of its labcoat getting in the wat and dangling down. The name tag did not say Jack.

Behind it, Jay straightened up, but didn't step closer. He looked nervous, tail half coiled around his legs. "I... Jay." The words were forced, as he was once again struggling to speak instead of chirp. "Hi... 'llo."

Jay, however, persisted. Eventually, he hoisted himself through a broken window just as the rain began to fall. He had needed a new place to stay, again, having been ran out of his older one. This building, hopefully, was abandoned... but not too far away from civilization either. It would be easy to get supplies that way.

He walked through the empty halls, glass crunching under his feet. The shards didn't bother him, as they were unable to pierce his natural armor. Jay stalked further into the old halls, getting away from the windows. From view. From the rain that would no doubt pour through the shattered frames.

Eventually, he reached a small room, Empty and less damaged, and a bit warmer than the halls outside it. He'd stay in there for the night, and in the morning, he'd go find materials to make it more comfortable-
