1. Does your OC have a voice claim, if so who?

I am so picky when it comes to voice claims, but I keep coming back to Lou Wilson for Itothon. He's got a great range and really matches the warm, light-hearted vibe Itothon has most of the time while also being very good at sounding Dramatic & Serious.

6. If your OC is in a fantasy setting, what profession would they be in the modern day?

I always imagine Itothon as some kind of community organizer. Like maybe he runs a nonprofit helping people get food & housing. Something involving a lot of public outreach to support others.

I don't really think he likes being a leader, but he's also extremely willing to be the change he wants to see in the world and that usually means he's a driving force. Literally "guy who accidentally became important at work."

I honestly think he'd be happiest working on a grassroots level. Like working at a small clinic and then going home to play gacha games on his phone in peace. Unfortunately he really wants to change the system, not just work within it, so in any universe he's going to end up as a mayor or a union leader. Or maybe a guy in charge of a local community college full of eccentric professors. Etc etc.

11. What was your inspiration for your OC?

I have quite a few inspirations for him!

When I was first developing him, I was kinda looking through characters from stories about important social change. And also characters that are considered good leaders (especially ones who struggle to maintain that). What does it mean to be a revolutionary if you're still working within the system? At what point do you give up the absolute power you're using for good so that no one else can misappropriate it again? How do you hold onto your core morals when you're working on such a big scale?

Itothon is an idealist. He fervently believes in making the world a better place, and sometimes that means he has to do some scrupulous things he doesn't really agree with. He's really afraid of becoming the very thing he's seeking to weed out- a corrupt politician.

But he's also someone with a lot of deep emotional wounds. And he's young! He's like, 25. He's barely got to enjoy his youth. Either because of the reality of growing up in poverty or because of the position he was thrust into as the High Sage. He's a charming young man that likes to smoke and gamble but he has to be so Poised all the time and it's EXHAUSTING. He should be at the cluuuuub!!!!

14. Who's a character your OC cannot stand! It's on sight when they see them!

Omfg. There are definitely a LOT of nobles around him he thinks are a bunch of leeches, but he's gotten pretty effective at appeasing them with "exotic imports."

At the very top of that shit list has gotta be this lady named Lilan Asfix. She's was the head inquisitor under the previous High Sage and is currently the only one in the city who can safely/successfully practice memory-reading magic. She also refuses to teach anyone else even though she's getting to a ripe old age. Itothon disdains her because she has absolutely used her power For Evil but he's letting her chill in retirement (under supervision) in case he ever needs her for the greater good.

20. If they fight, what's their weapon of choice?

Pahre :)

Itothon isn't much of a fighter, really. He's stubborn as hell, but will avoid violence for as long as physically possible. Definitely not the type to carry a weapon.

Pahre is someone he relies on for both medical care and protection. She basically runs surveillance of the palace and handles threats as they arrive. Although, even when an assassin is sent after him, Itothon usually likes to arrange some kind of hearing to understand why exactly this person tried to kill him.

You could say Pahre is kind of like his mouser. Scary kitty...

On the other hand, Itothon's magic manifests as fire. So if it came down to it, he could do a lot of damage. He's also capable of making his hands/skin get really hot, although that's usually not intentional. His "steaming" happens more when he gets nervous.

24. Can they play any instruments? If so, what do they play?

I don't think he plays anything himself (what free time he does have to dedicate to hobbies he prefers to use for playing tabletop games) but he does love the arts, including music! I could also see him tapping away on some kind of hand-drum. Just vibing.
