Polly awoke this morning only to remember that she had yet to buy any pumpkins. This was a rarity as she was generally a festive person and usually had all of her decorations set out by now. She went to the pumpkin patch early, not bothering to ask Dalila or Triton if they wanted to go with her because Dalila slept in until about 2:00 pm on the weekends and Triton needed his sleep. When she got back home, she had two of the best pumpkins she could find ready for carving. As Polly waited for James to come by, she made sure she had everything ready and set up.
