Item 7: SLOW-MOTION. It's time for the most elegant and beautiful of all affairs: the paintball ballet! 5 ballerinas playing paintball on pointe. They must all be pointe dancers; they can be wearing safety gear, but it must be pink and there must be tutus and pointe shoes. (TRIGGER WARNING: gunshot noises in video!)
Side-by-side portraits of you as you see yourself and you as the person who loves you best sees you (the second portrait must be made by your loved one, and afterward, you do this for them, too - though you don’t have to submit that).
Item 7: (Up to 2 minutes.) You love your grandparents, or your great-grandparents, but you've never heard their stories. Get one of them to tell you about the two most transformative experiences of their early life, before they turned 30. These must be experiences that shaped them into the people they are today. They may be difficult situations or lucky ones, but they must be transformative. Subject(s) must be more than 80 years old.

Laura Jack described how everyone has struggles that they often hide from public view. Make a reusable, portable sign (such as a chalkboard, whiteboard, or letter board) that says “I am struggling with __” OR “The truth is, I feel __” and get someone to fill in the blank with something that has been challenging them. Take a photo of them holding the sign and posing in the most happy, beautiful, carefree pose they can. Post your image on Instagram, tagging #GISH and @laurajackcoaching. Make sure you have their permission to post their photo! Laura would love for people to read pages 7-9 from the Compassion Code Starter Guide before attempting the challenge so they can be kind and thoughtful about their approach.

Cantrip Candles’ candles focus on creating immersive sensory experiences through scent. Identify a strong, positive scent memory from your past (or a member of your household’s past) and attempt to recreate the scent as a candle. You may use old scraps of candles or wax, cotton thread or floss, a recycled glass jar or other non-conductive container, essential oils, and non-flammable elements from your kitchen. Submit a photo of your candle with elements in the picture that indicate what the smell was, and comment with how successful you were. Remember: safety first!
