Lloyd almost died from his fathers powers so how would you describe Kai’s thoughts when he saw Lloyds almost fatal condition? Lloyd described Kai as looking ”partially terrified” when they had left the vail but while in Shadowspire he didn’t seem to have truly understood the danger of Lloyds sickness, was it like a bit of a wake up call for Kai?
Kai was dealing with a lot at the time, he was still reeling from learning his family was alive, handling all of the entire coronation affairs, was awaiting punishment from Garmadon, and was generally in a poor emotional state to be arguing with Lloyd, when Lloyd said the thing that would hurt him the most.
Lloyd also had been getting sick every time he came home from the city, but he always got better within a few hours, so Kai didn't clock that it was worse than usual until it became obvious how bad it was. By that point, Kai was like, "Fuck, Lloyd is about to die because I was so distracted by other shit I didn't notice how bad it was right in front of me."
I would say it would be fun to write Kai's POV of that scene, but he had SO much going on that I genuinely don't know if it would be possible to properly do it. Thanks for the ask! I love delving into characters haha
