Excerpt from a story tip: "These types of stories sell papers, just as our Comcast commercials and the many Ads we run in your paper do." Um, actually, your television commercials and print ads do NOT sell newspapers, sir. Wow.
What he meant to say was: "My ads pay your salary, you ungrateful wretch, now print the story I want to see and get back inside the binder full of women where you belong…"
All I can do is to shake my head when I see a county-level administrator in our local public school system using a non-sequitur like that when petitioning the newspaper.
