Just me that thinks is really funny that there isn't any football (the Brazilian one. Soccer if you are boring) inslired IFs? I mean I see a huge potential for multiple plot points and drama. You could approach it with a rising star MC or a player's that suffered a big injure and is reluctantly getting back after a year (aka R9)

And I think it would be the kinda of IF with a lot of opportunities. Maybe the main drawback is the fact that it would be hard to work around ROs? I dunno. Jus seems a little strange

Game 80: GB Wordyl Aug2025 Wordyl for the Game Boy plays exactly like you think any other Wordle type game would play, despite the quirk name change. Wordle as a game basically gamifies the English language by using 6 guesses to get a correct 5 letter word. Due to this, there is a lot of simple strategies that come into to play as the English language is pretty simple in a 5 letter word format as 6 letter words and up start to become really weird and often borrowed language. So if you are able to link certain words together while eliminating other possible letters it becomes easier and easier to guess. So if the only letter that pops up on BREAK is K, you can then move to COCKS as S and O are also used often enough and you get rid of 3/6 vowels the language uses. You can then continue so on and so forth with other words to help get the correct answers, as long as it's 6 guesses and under.

So what basically comes down to what really makes this Wordle different is how it handles hard mode, and any bells and whistles it uses as you play the game. While I certainly would have liked in-game music or an option for it, the most we get a very crispy noises for when you enter a word and/or get it right. Hard mode basically makes you lock in to certain parts of the word if you get it right and will limit your options to guess other words to help eliminate letters not in there. The game also keeps track of your win/loss streak, but it is also a matrix on a Game Boy so it's randomizing will not be up to par with more recent systems. It's not the biggest deal as there is only so much you can do, but it's worth noting as something that separates it. Overall GB WORDYL is a neat version of WORDLE that acts as a novelty over a replacement.
