not beta-ed I die like men who decided riding a bike in Luxembourg is a good idea. This is specific but now you learned something.
Title: Iād like to get some flowers and your number if I may? :)
Francis and Feliciano were walking back from a business lunch when they passed by a quaint little flower shop.
āAh, I should buy some flowers for my secretary to thank her for her hard work these past few days!ā the Italian suddenly said.Ā
Francis stopped. āWell, what are you waiting for then, mon ami? We still have some time, although I do advise you to watch out. The beautiful lady who works there behind the counter is an absolute menace.ā Francis laughed.
āWhy?ā the Italian frowned.
āI donāt really know.ā Francis shrugged, āShe is Belgian, and I am French. Maybe thatās it?ā the Frenchman rubbed his chin.
āThatās probably it,ā The Italian nodded. āI hope she likes Italians. Or if she doesn't, if she could at least make an exception for me, as I love women and they usually love me.ā Feliciano grinned, and Francis rolled his eyes.Ā
āWell, why donāt we bet on it?ā Francis offered.Ā
āBet on what?ā the Italian asked, curious.
āIf you can get her number Iāll give you this fifty Euros bill.ā Francis smirked, getting said bill out of his wallet.Ā
Italy looked at the bill and thought about it for a second before agreeing, āokay, we have a deal! Give me five minutes!ā and with that the Italian walked towards the entrance of the store.
āConfident arenāt we!ā Francis shouted after him, and the Italian laughed, making a dismissive hand gesture as he entered the store.Ā
Not even three minutes later the Italian was back with a wide smile on his face, some flowers and proudly showing off the Belgianās telephone number with a āCall me! Emma :*ā written in purple marker on his arm.Ā
Francis raised an eyebrow, looking as the Italian turned around to blow the Belgian a kiss, which she pretended to catch with a laugh.
āOh, Ƨa alors!ā Francis said, surprised. (+/- well Iāll be damned)
āPay up, Francis.ā The Italian grinned, as they walked back towards their office.Ā
The Frenchman looked defeated but wasnāt one to backtrack on his bets. He got out the bill, albeit reluctantly.
āYou should tell me your secret, mon ami.ā He said, with a small laugh.Ā
Feliciano smiled innocently and shrugged, āWell, what can I say? Iām just really good at giving women what they want.āĀ
And he laughed as Francis just shook his head muttering something about damned charming Italians.
5 minutes earlier.Ā
Italy walked to the front of the flower shop, smiling as he noticed that the Belgian woman was indeed very pretty.
āCiao Bella! I was wondering if you wanted to help annoy a Frenchman and get twenty-five euros for the effort?ā
The Belgian woman raised an eyebrow at the strange request before asking āA Frenchman named Francis Bonnefoy, who works at the office a street away?āĀ
āYes, that one, heās a colleague of mineā the Italian gave her his best smile.Ā
She laughed, āOf course! Iād do that for free! No need to pay. What do you need?ā
The Italian smiled as her laugh was infectious, āWonderful! Thank you! I would just need your phone number, written on my hand with maybe a cute smiley or something?āĀ
The Belgian woman quirked an eyebrow and Feliciano realised how that could come across.Ā
āI promise this is not a bad flirting technique on my part, you can use a fake number if you want! He just bet me fifty euros that I would not be able to charm you into doing so.ā the Italian said with all the honesty he could muster.
She rolled her eyes, āI believe you because this does seems like a stupid plan Francis would come up with. Come here, Iāll get my marker.āĀ
He moved up his sleeve and couldnāt help but think the Belgian was absolutely adorable as she stuck out her tongue writing down her phone number, or a fake one, he wasnāt sure, on his arm.
āGrazie mille, Emma!ā he grinned as he read her name on his arm.Ā
āYouāre very welcome! Anything to put that bastard in his place!ā Her eyes crinkled as she laughed, āDo you need anything else?āĀ Ā
āAh, yes! Iād like a simple bouquet of flowers for my secretary. She has done some wonderful work these past few days and I would like to thank her!ā he smiled.
āMy, my, you certainly know how to treat the women around you, Mrā¦?ā she trailed off as she selected a number of pretty but elegant flowers.
āVargas,ā the Italian completed, āFeliciano, Vargas.āĀ
āWell, here you go mister Vargas!ā Emma smiled, as she handed him the flowers.Ā
He paid, and made his way towards the exit of the flower shop, where Francis was waiting, stopping and turning around when she called out his name.
āMr. Vargas! Do let me know by text how it goes with Francis!āĀ
Feliciano smiled as he realised that meant she had given him her real number.
āAlso, blow me a kiss when you're outside. It will add to the realism.ā She grinned and the Italian could never have wished for a better partner in crime.
āWill do!āĀ
That evening.Ā
Feliciano passed by the flower shop on his way home and thought now would be a good time to let the Belgian from the flower shop know how it went.Ā
18:23 - Ciao Emma! Feliciano Vargas here! Just to tell you that the mission was a resounding success and that I really wouldnāt mind giving you half the money for your help!
He was about to put his phone back and continue walking when his phone pinged, he read the message and raised his eyebrow.Ā
18:25 - Oh hello Feliciano! As said, you giving me the opportunity to annoy Francis was payment enough. Although I wouldnāt mind hearing how it went over dinner?Ā
Oh, now this was a nice surprise, Feliciano thought to himself.Ā
18:26 - Wonderful idea, weāll use his money! When would you like to go?
āHow about now?ā A voice said from behind him, and Feliciano turned around surprised, seeing Emma close up shop for the night.
He recovered quickly, though.Ā
āWho am I to say no to a beautiful woman?ā Feliciano grinned, putting his phone back in his pocket.
āYou flatter me, Mr. Vargas!ā She smiled, walking towards him.Ā
āWhat can I say, itās the Italian in me. I canāt help it!ā Feliciano winked, offering the woman his arm.
āHow lucky you are then that unlike Frenchmen, I have a soft spot for Italians.ā she smiled, eyes full of promise, as she took his arm.Ā
āLucky me, indeed!ā Feliciano grinned, as they walked towards a nice little restaurant.
Some hours later
As the Belgian woman was softly sleeping against his chest, exhausted from their āactivitiesā, Feliciano wondered if he should buy a bouquet of flowers for Francis tomorrow to thank him for having played a part in this beautiful evening.
Heāll discuss it with Emma tomorrow, he thought. But from the brief amount of time heās known her sheāll probably give him the flowers for free.Ā
Feliciano fell asleep with a smile on his face.
Lucky me, indeed!Ā
