#tbt taking you back to 1976 when Yamaha's IT400C first roamed the lands of the U.S. In the 70s, Yamaha offered customers a range of off-road models, from dual-purpose âDTâ bikes, to âMXâ playbikes, to âYZâ full-on motocrossers. And, in 1976, they added the âITâ enduro bike to their off-road lineup. With its 396cc, air-cooled, two-stroke, single-cylinder engine, the IT400C was based on the YZ400, with the addition of a headlight and taillight, a speedometer/odometer unit mounted off-center on the triple clamps, and the YZâs competition yellow livery was replaced with a striking sky blue color that became de rigueur on all IT models well into the 1980s. The âITâ model designation actually stood for âInternational Trialsâ which was the term used for international enduro competition back in the day. #Yamaha #IT400 #1976 #enduro #offroad #YamahaOfYesterday đ· @tonyblazier
