this friday german politicians might decide to LEGALIZE SAME-SEX MARRIAGE!
i know we’re late to the party for ridiculous reasons
(for the last few years our chancellor Angela Merkel “personally felt like marriage should be between man and woman”)
and honestly this only happens because the parties really want to get votes this upcoming election so they chose to start discussion days before summer break
BUT (because Merkel gave an interview to a woman’s magazine?) NOW THERE WILL BE A - PARTY INDEPENDENT - ELECTION! THIS FREAKING FRIDAY!
CHANCES ARE VERY HIGH THAT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE WILL BE LEGALIZED!
IT WILL TAKE AGES FOR THAT TO ACTUALLY HAPPEN BUT IF THEY VOTE ACCORDINGLY IT WILL HAPPEN
