#JackedKirby - Inter-dimensional travel alongside Sif!!! 💥💥💥 While Jack is most well known for his insane collaborative run alongside Stan on the FF comic (102 straight issues plus annuals is crazy!), he had an equally impressive run on Journey Into Mystery/The Mighty Thor.... as a matter of fact, Jack’s run started with JIM #Issue83 and concluded with Thor #Issue177, which is an impressive 93 regular issue run!!! 💥💥💥 This series of panels comes from #Issue139 which was published in April of 1967. Thor has been unfortunately separated from his trademark hammer, and he is stranded in NY with Lady Sif unable to return to Asgard. Sif taps into her mystical latent power to transport them back to Asgard (Pic 1/2)... but it’s not an exact science!!! 💥💥💥 They are transported back to Asgard, but unfortunately it’s smack in the middle of the home of the Rock Trolls!!! (Pic 3) Ulik and the other Rock Trolls want to take over Asgard, and they might actually have a chance since Thor doesn’t have his magical hammer!!! Can Odin, Sif and the other Asgardians help Thor fight off these deadly Rock Trolls? Another great mythical adventure courtesy of Jack & Stan!!! 💥💥💥 I love the way Jack drew the magical transport of Sif and Thor in Pic 2. The use of the blurred grey/purple body images with Kirby Krackle in the top panel and the all red silhouettes in the lower right panel are both amazing ways for Jack to convey the cosmic power & energy at play here.
