Snow White 

Snow White is known to be a very weak character, literarily and figuratively. She’s sweet, innocent and kind. That’s all most people can say about her. So naturally she’s usually placed in Hufflepuff, which to me just seems like laziness. So I sat down and watched the movie for the first time in a loooong time and I came to my own conclusion. 

For your consideration: Snow White as a Slytherin

This is Snow White. This is the girl that over, and over again found herself in a bad situation. She’s been abused and hated by her stepmother, robbed off her rights and basic human decency, and still face the day with a smile on her face like her life isn’t terrible. 

She always comes through. No matter she’s faced with she always seem to come up with a solution. When, in the entire movie, did you ever see her compromise? She doesn’t. Cause she doesn’t need to. She knows what she wants, and she makes sure to get it. Yes, her ambitions may “only” be staying alive, but who cares? 

And everyone loves her (stepmother excluded). There’s a charm about her that makes people naturally care about her and want to take care of her. People like to blame Snow White almost dying, on Snow White being naive. But I don’t think it’s that at all. I think what almost killed her, was hybris. This girl knew that she was super charming and could get anyone to like her, so she didn’t even second guess a stranger giving her apples. 

In conclusion. Snow White is the girl who’s gonna get what she wants and look good doing it, and to dumb her down to simply a nice girl without character is lazy and uniformed.
