Turns out diamond hits hard. It’s a statement as obvious as it gets but  yeti’s diamond covered fist cracking your chestbones really drives the impression home even stronger. 

He’d managed to leave his house but when he wandered out he’d come across right at nearby hill, just outside the Mistwoods. The yeti had been standing right there on the edge catching Ogata by complete surprise. There it attacked sending Ogata rolling down the slope, the diamond patches among hardened mud roughing him up quite a bit.

Finally Ogata lands, coughing blood, breathing heavily. He can’t yell and even if he could he’d suffocate it behind grit teeth. From the ground he can hear and feel the yeti coming down but there’s also another shadow casts over him. 

“.... ?”

There’s an abandoned reconstruction site in the Fibonacci Ward. Some small time company tried to make something great was the story apparently. Ogata has a feeling it had been a scam from the start but he didn’t care to peek deep into the story. 

It made a good spot to set up a fire - not too open to give him away but also not too small to choke him with smoke. It wasn’t completely airtight plan but he has to eat something within these hours. To keep himself vigilant.

Well, at least it wasn’t one of those monsters.

He didn’t think it’d follow him all the way up here. Behind him Ogata can hear the glass breaking behind him as he runs through the grocery isle, pushing down what he can... He’s not sure if it’s any help in slowing down .

Diamond properties aside the weather as one would expect from a cold winternight, Ogata’s shaking a little even and hit teeth are almost clattering with how firmly he’s pressing them together. Nose and cheeks visibly red from the cold he’s wandering in the forest of Airaisal. 

He’s not fairing too well, at this rate he’s going to run on a fever. Setting up a fire is a risk itself as it might call in monsters so before anything else he must find a prompt place, hidden from obvious spots. 

On the path he comes across someone. He meets her eyes with a stare, a tad tired but not all that different from how he’d look normally.
