To your question about Isaiah and the Ethel lore – Ethel is not a trustworthy narrator, Hayden has mentioned this before. It is possible Isaiah may have tried to be persuasive with words and charm and what not, and if it's so, I would guess it's simply a predatory thing. Some predators enjoy playing with their prey that way, there's no really rational way to explain it, but it does happen. However, it's also possible that he may have been forceful and manipulative to Ethel all along and she simply allowed herself to be gaslighted because she was already vulnerable and not using her best judgment or coping with trauma well. There's also the fact that Isaiah probably didn't want to draw attention by kidnapping her and risking exposure if she resisted or attempted to escape, it would've been smarter if he made it look like they were a couple so less people would suspect what's really going on. And of course, there's the fact that Ethel's grandmother was the leader of the Daughters of Cain cult and speculations have it Isaiah targeted Ethel as a consequence of what her grandmother had done much earlier. The theories are several but these are the most realistic I could remember/think of. What do you think?
