So… Regina is like Lucifer in a sense, because Eve was likened to the Devil after she succumbed to the Devil’s temptations in the Garden of Eden, but Regina isn’t actually positioned as the Devil himself. Rumple is. As his foil, Killian is positioned as God. And this is consistent in the visuals surrounding them, and the fact that they’re both practically immortal. Regina and Emma, by contrast, are more the human form of those positions. So… Regina is the devil in human form (Eve), and Emma is God in human form (the Virgin Mary; she shares the position of Jesus with Killian). Again, you and I are roughly on the same path (Killian vs. Regina, Regina getting rid of Killian to get to Emma), but we have slightly different interpretations.

Which... for those of you not familiar with ... any part of thousands of years of Judeo-Christian religion. Eve does not equal the devil. Eve is not the devil in human form. Eve... is an innocent.
