ashton is a morning person, and sometimes that’s a good thing. sometimes he picks you up to drive you to school in the morning and buys you a cup of coffee, just the way you like it. other times, however, the fact that he’s up before the sunrise is a bit irritating. like on saturdays, for instance. saturdays were his favourite mornings to watch the sunset, despite the fact that it was one of the only days he could actually sleep in. you were usually smart enough to put your phone on silent in case he tries to wake you up on the weekend, but that doesn’t do you much good when you’re fast asleep at his house. it’s a little after 5a.m. and he’s nudging your shoulder, followed by your hip and whispering “come on, baby, i have something to show you.” and the only reason you open your eyes is because his morning voice is kind of beautiful and you know he won’t leave you alone if you don’t. what ashton shows you ends up being worth it; he wraps you up in one of his flannels and takes you out onto the roof to watch the sunrise. you have to admit, after seeing the pinks and oranges and yellows next to a boy who never lets go of your hand, you’re much more of a sunrise person than sunset.
