Dates!
I have 2 dates now plannedā¦
Thursday night (tomorrow) will be with Circus Guy. Not sure exactly where we will be going or doing, but weāre meeting in an area where bars and cafes are plentiful, so Iām happy with the spontaneity of choosing as we go. He actually text me last night (Iād already gone to bed) just to make sure I hadnāt forgotten about him! Only saw it this morning when I was up at 5am, so I waited until a more reasonable time this morning to text back. Iām really interested to see how this one will turn out.
Friday night is meeting Irishman2. Bit unsure about him still, but I am going to take a chance. Looks like weāll meet up in a bar in the city. Iām determined to go to the beach on Saturday, so Iām not too keen at this point to drink too much. Plus I donāt want to spend too much just after getting back from overseasā¦.unless heās paying of course! I think I might actually catch a bus into the city after work and then home again, rather than drive. Then I can scull down a couple of drinks before I leave home. I get the feeling Iāll need to be buzzed when meeting this one. There have been a lot of similarities still between him and the first Irishman in terms of some of the things heās been saying to me. And because of going through what I have with the first one, I canāt help but think of this one as being fake. But what do I have to really lose at this point?
Now all Iām hoping for is to set up a date with The Barber. I think him and Circus Guy have been my favourites so far. He mentioned a āSunday sessionā last week so Iām kind of hoping that heāll bring it up again. Heās stayed in touch so Iām hoping weāll build up to a date soon.
The other guys have somewhat dissipated, so Iām searching for more.
Iāve heard from Mr Nice Guy a couple times this week too. I am quite certain he likes me. After I mentioned Iām potentially going to the beach this weekend, he mentioned he was too, then it felt like he was fishing for an invite as asked which one I was going to. I think Iād rather go on my own or with a friend and read a book though, so I shut that down pretty quick.
The Other Irishman
Oh effsicles, what have I done?
This new Irish guy has now set up a date with me for next weekend. He seems super keen and strangely getting in a week early!
Iām going through some inner turmoil hereā¦
First up, he lives down the coast - thatās an hour and a half drive away. So, of course he suggests we go for a drink as a first date. In making this suggestion, he then points out the fact that if weāre going drinking, heāll have to check into a hotel somewhere.
SOUND FAMILIAR?!
Then he suggests the movies as another optionā¦for tomorrow night even!
SOUND FAMILIAR?!
Then he keeps saying lovely things like, āIām really keen to get to know you, and maybe I like youā
SOUND FAMILIAR?!
Iām not falling for your Irish charm, Mr Irishman2! This is not going to be an easy ride for you! (pun unintended)
He also doesnāt use any punctuation in his text messages!
SOUNā¦.ok, I guess Iāve made my point.
But why must they have to be so similar??
Even so, Iām keeping my mind open here. I am a sucker for european menā¦but I am not going to lose my head!
