Today’s pipe is my Luigi Viprati filled with Irish Flake. After yesterday’s incredibly long day (25 hours) I’m taking it easy today and catching up on the stuff that doesn’t get done while working, tomorrow is promising to be busy so it’s probably going to be an early night.
First pipe for a few days. Irish Flake in my new Northern Briars Pipe. One of the disadvantages of nights is my sleeping pattern is knackered, one advantage is being able to enjoy a bowl and a dram instead of sleep.
Today has been a very long one. My squadron took part in three acts of remembrance today with it being Remembrance Sunday two of which being in the torrential rain the other being just cold. The staff then adjourned to a local drinking establishment to debrief, warm up and have some food. Now I’m relaxing with a bowl of Irish Flake in my Briarworks bent egg accompanied by some Famous Grouse
Popped a new tin of Irish Flake, my first since they moved to the round tins. It’s still a bit too fresh to smoke but with some drying time will be good. I’ve filled my T Christiano Canadian for this particular tobacco, a nice change as I’ve basically been abusing my new Northern Briars this last week.

I have an unexpected shift tomorrow that I’m starting to regret agreeing to do which means an early night tonight but I still have time for a bowl of Irish Flake in my Maddis pipe and a small Famous Grouse on the side.
