Iriomote Glowing Bat was witnessed as a mysterious winged cryptid flying at high speed near the coast of Iriomote Island, Okinawa, Japan, glowing a yellowish green before it flew out of sight.
Fun Fact:
Glowing has been found in six species of bat including big brown bats, eastern red bats, Seminole bats, southeastern myotis, gray bats and Brazilian free-tailed bats with a consistent emission peak between 520 and 552 nanometers, giving them a greenish hue under ultraviolet light.

Look at it. Fuckin' gorgeous. It's a subspecies of leopard that only exists on one island: Iriomote, a small island in Japan.
There's (estimated) less than 100 of these guys. Between islandntourism, the local feral cat population competing for resources, and loss of habitat, these guys are in serious trouble.
They grow to be about 2 feet long as males, and females are smaller. Curled up (as cats are won't to do), they're about a square foot apiece. According to USA Today, the average hotel room is 13×25 feet or approximately 325 sq. ft. This means you could fit the entire Iriomote population into a single hotel room with no furniture and still be able to see the floor.
Imagine walking into a single bed hotel room and the entire population of your species not only fits in it, but there's room for a bed.
I love these little guys. Seriously, LOOKIT THE FAAAACE:
The local dialects have a few names for them, my favorite being yamapikaryaa, "That Which Shines in the Forest".

Or just talk about 'em. A lot of people consider Iriomote a tourist spot because of the cats, but that's part of the problem. It's great to love these guys (I do), but we're not gonna save them by shoving Polaroid cameras in their face.
