This Christmas was actually pretty amazing. It's all due to my boyfriend. My last relationship was for three years and every time a holiday came around I dreaded it because I knew it would just end up in a fight. He hated my family and didn't want me to go by myself so he'd come with me and bitchbitchbitch til I cried or we left. Every year without fail he'd make me cry and I never got to spend Christmas with my fam.
This year my new man came with me. He chatted and genuinely loved everyone, drank and socialized. I couldn't ask for anything better. If it took my last boyfriend betraying me the way he did for me to get here then I'm very happy he did it. I don't know if I'm becoming more mature or if I'm batshit crazy for saying I'm happy he cheated. But if that's what it took so be it.
