APFC AND IPFC Panels, Their Uses And Features.
Automatic Power Factor Control, known as APFC Panels are essentially utilized for the development of Power Factor. Power Factor can be described as the ratio of active power to apparent power. Power Factor is a crucial factor for estimating electrical consumption. Therefore, with APFC and IPFC panel's help, we can cut down on electrical consumption to reduce expenses.
APFC Panels are used in those industries where electrical attachments are meant to supply a large electrical charge.
A slip in Power Factor can draw operational losses and, in some cases, a penalty from the electricity board.
APFC Panels can efficiently and automatically manage quickly shifting and scattered electrical loads and retain high Power Factor.
BCH India is a renowned manufacturer of APFC & IPFC Panels signified with quality and reliability. These are available in different current ratings to cater to specific applications.
These APFC Panels are advanced products. It can achieve the desired power factor under fluctuating load conditions in power plants, steel rolling mills, sugar plants, cement plants, chemical plants, dairy plants, Textile, sugar, Hospital, Automobile and building segment, etc.
Some Basic Advantages of APFC Panels :
Maintains high Power Factor always and High efficiency.
In-built independent fuses. And protection from excess power in the system.
Prevents leading Power Factor in low load conditions and Protects electrical equipment.
Marked buttons and indicators.
Minimizes harmonic current & Electrical insulation.
Easy to use.
Corrosion-resistant & Long-lasting.
The IPFC or Intelligent Power Factor Control measures the power factor and continuously compares it with the set power factor. Suppose the measured power factor is more lagging than the set power factor. In this case, the device automatically chooses the best combination of banks for the required KVAR Kilovolt-Ampere Reactive from the available bank values. It then switches ON the capacitor banks till unity has reached. If the set power factor is not obtained even after switching ON the entire capacitor bank, the "Alarm" is ringed with an error message of "Lack of Banks."
Suppose the measured power factor is leading to the set power factor. In that case, the equipment automatically selects the best combination of banks for the required KVAR from the available bank values. It switches OFF the capacitor banks till the set power factor or unity has reached. Power factor correction can be done manually through the keyboard. When the IPFC is connected the first time, the bank values should be calibrated in a no-load condition. This can be done automatically or manually. In automatic calibration mode, IPFC has automatic calibration mode. This automatically switches ON the banks one by one and record the values.
