okay so one of the many au's is a post apocolyptic one, told almost entirely through video recordings. the basic idea is the ip3 finding a camera in the place they're hiding out in, and trying to broadcast a signal so people can find them, and it gradually devolves from there.

but there isn't really any specific timeline planned out!! so i have no idea what to do once i finish writing a "recording." it doesn't help that they jump around and that i'm not writing every single video they film (it starts with the first, and the next section is the sixth, and so on).

“You're watching that human again, aren't you?”

When Topaz slides up against him, she fits there effortlessly. It’s as though they’re two halves of a whole, when they stand like this, her head on his shoulder and fingers intertwining with his own. White hair on blond, red fabric on green, sharp edges next to soft ones. 

They’re a mess of contradictions, the two of them, or so people say.

Aventurine doesn’t see much of a difference. 

Fortune loves the wealthy, after all, and Aventurine is nothing if not Fortune. 

“You’ve been watching him, too,” he tells her, knowingly. “You wouldn’t recognize him if you hadn’t.”

Topaz shrugs. “I never said that I hadn’t,” she says. “Just that here you are again.”

“Here I am,” Aventurine says absently, without a moment of hesitation. “Here I am.”

And that, you see, is where the trouble truly begins. 

It’s a common kind of knowledge that you rarely see Wealth without Fortune trailing behind her.

She wanders in desolate places, ravaged ones, and they say desperation festers in her footsteps. That ores grow under the ground she walks on, creating something out of nothing and leaving people hungry for more. That the new chances only lead to selfishness and bloodshed. 

Fortune only walks behind her, silent, rolling a coin between his fingers. Never says a word, eyes seldom leaving her back.

Fortune, they say, never smiles upon anyone.

Topaz is Wealth, but she is not Desire. She cannot make people crave power they never wanted, cannot make them desperate for something they don’t already want. 

All she can do is leave behind crumbs for the people to follow, and hope they do not tear each other apart.

luorencha slight AU where, tbh, most things are the same, except they act deranged to each other & are always at each other’s throats 💞 luocha is an abundance emanator (but aeons are more like… gods in this universe - tho ig the difference there is just the term/label), and blade is still destruction but he’s also from xianzhou and thus serves the hunt, and he’s kind of, both tasked & punished to find out how to cure his immortality

luorencha but luocha is the one suffering w his mental health this time… he’s struggling to cope w the trauma/ptsd of being a military healer
