MS-365 Alternative kommt

Leben ohne Microsoft

Nextcloud Workspace soll es heißen und eine Alternative zu Microsoft 365 werden. Ionos und Nextcloud arbeiten gemeinsam an einer Lösung, die hoffentlich irgendwann die Verwaltung in Deutschland von Microsoft befreien soll.

Aber auch SchülerInnen und StudentInnen haben dann eine Chance ohne die Abhängigkeit von Microsoft zu leben. Mit dem Online-Arbeitsplatz sollen E-Mail, Office, Videokonferenzen, Chat und KI  Anwendungen möglich sein. Alles basiert auf Open-Source-Technik und die NutzerInnen werden mit voller Transparenz und Kontrolle ihre Daten und die Infrastruktur nutzen können.

Digitale Souveränität

Bisher hat sich keine Konkurrenz zu Microsoft durchgesetzt, doch die beiden Unternehmen sind optimistisch, dass genau jetzt mit Trump der richtige Zeitpunkt ist. Voraussetzung ist dabei natürlich, dass die Behörden mitspielen. Wenn wieder jede Schule oder Uni ihren Weg geht, wird es schwierig. Die Macher können sich aber darauf berufen, dass ihre Software im Gegensatz zu Microsoft DSGVO-konform ist.
