Now, there's a lot of interplay going on here, and part of it is just that I need to practice writing male characters a bit more, it still doesn't come naturally but I never admit defeat. The rest of this is related to how the rest of the series plays out.
Obviously I have the most information about my own novels, but TSE is the fourth book in the series. Possibly the third if I reorder The Legal Obligations Of Teenage Vigilantes/Spittake because the timeline on that one is a little wild.
This is how I keep track of my timeline right now, plus a lot of wordy explanations of what goes where and how it's relevant to who
So many wordy explanations. Like this one I gave to @autumnice while we were figuring out Spittake. There are so many explanations like this.
"okay, so how is this relevant to Lewis and Jalae?" Because of where they get to shine.
Lewis is Autumn's wife, and FFS is Autumn's first novel. Autumn's existence kicks this whole thing off - so of course Lewis is more relevant there than he is in TSE, where Autumn is a supporting character, where Autumn is more entrenched in the plot.
But then... where is he? Why isn't he here, helping sow chaos and support his wife's new pet project?
There's always the option of him being somewhere entirely different - in Fox Hills, maybe, with Connor and the rest of the IGTTR crew? Or maybe he's back in with Maria... But why would he be? Lewis and Autumn left that city, left the crime ring, and they did it to watch Connor's back and to figure out who they are themselves. Lacking expectations and outside influences, who are they?
Okay, so Lewis hasn't gone back to his hometown, noted. So is he setting up a life in Fox Hills, holding down the fort in-between Autumn's visits? Or is he in Thawtown too, doing something under the radar enough that he's not getting seen, not getting caught in the conspiracy and experiment?
Is he trying for normalcy? Or is he planning something that will upend everything being worked on?
I don't know yet. And that's why he's not on the cast pictures - I don't know if he's part of the cast.
