Credence wasnāt sure he wanted to do this.
Heād been more sure of it before heād left the flat with Tina, but then, back there heād had everyone reassuring him that it was a good thing, that it would help. Now that heād had time to dwell on it though? No, did not seem like a good idea at all. Newt had said it would be good though. That it was all well and good them telling him that the man he had thought was Percival Graves was an imposter, but that to see the actual Percival Graves would help solidify that in his mind. The real Percival Graves had not used him, not betrayed him. He knew that.
And yet he was terrified that the moment he might lay eyes on him, that the darkness in his chest would claw its way out again, not caring to listen to reason or logic. He couldnāt let that happen, not after theyād all been so good to him, finding him and taking him in. Newt had even lent him fresh clothes.
The second Salem boy swallowed nervously, following Tina closely.
