My opponent controls a creature, the enchantment Smothering Tithe, and no planeswalker. I tap all my mana to cast Invoke Despair, targetting that opponent. When I draw the card for that player sacrificing no planeswalker, does that opponent create a Treasure token from Smothering Tithe?
The repetitions are sequential, and each one happens fully before the next. This means that Smothering Tithe will no longer be on the battlefield by the time your opponent draws a card from your lack of planeswalkers and thus no treasure (or mana payment) will occur.
Smothering Tithe would trigger if your opponent draws a card because you have no creatures, however.
