Powers: Logan has a healing factor that slows his aging and makes it so that he can heal from most things in a matter of minutes though it is partially to blame for some of his amnesia. He originally had bone claws but his skeleton has since been bonded with adamantium so his bones have become unbreakable and his claws can now cut through just about anything. He also has heightened senses, most notably sight, hearing, and smell as well as some low level animal empathy.
A little more in depth
Important Headcanons:
Logan’s been a member of the X-men for years now but that doesn’t mean things always go smoothly. While he is more of a team player than he used to be and is staunchly loyal to those who he’s become friends with, he’s still prone to go off and deal with things he views as personal matters on his own rather than bringing them to the team, sometimes with disastrous effects. He doesn’t get along with everyone on the team and his temper can be just as quick and brutal as ever. He still likes his space and his independence, much to the chagrin of some members of the team, though he figures they should know by now that he’s in this thing for the long haul and isn’t permanently going anywhere any time soon. With the war, this has increased a lot. Especially with all the other teams coming together, he’s open to some collaboration but his first priority is the X-men over the others even if he’s got some connections outside of them. As much as they sometimes drive him crazy, the X-men are his family now and he’ll do what he can to get them through this damn thing.
Logan’s memory is still fractured and he’s pretty much accepted the fact that he’ll be a damn headcase for the rest of his life. It’s not like he trusts most telepaths to go poking around in there, with a few notable exceptions, and even if he did trust them he’s not entirely sure he’d want them to know some of the things he has locked away. The nightmares and flashes he gets of the things he doesn’t fully remember are bad enough that he knows there’s a lot of terrible shit in his past. He’s got a decent idea of the Weapon X program and his part in it and sometimes large swathes of other eras or bits and pieces throughout the course of his life. His clearest memories, however, start in the early ‘90s and forward from there. It’s frustrating, not knowing where he was during certain times or all of the things he’s done, but he’s more or less learned to live with it. He’s got enough to regret and feel guilty about from what he does remember, he doubts he needs to add to that load.
The Accords damn near enraged Logan and he did everything he could to fight against them, thinking that they were complete and utter bullshit. His opinion of those who were in favour of the Accords drastically decreased and he was disappointed in people he’d initially thought better of. There’s still a lot of resentment towards people he’d once considered friends or at least on the same side that supported the Accords and Logan’s not shy about making his opinion known and confronting those people. He’s willing to shelve some of this for the war effort but once someone’s lost Logan’s good opinion it’s pretty damn hard to get it back.
He likes to drink, beer or whiskey, mostly, sometimes a good scotch, even though he can’t really feel the effects of it unless he pounds it real fast and real hard. Sometimes it’s the taste, or in whiskey’s case the nice burn down the back of his throat, and sometimes it’s just to blend in. It’s pretty conspicuous to be the only guy in a dive bar who doesn’t have a beer bottle in front of him. Why a dive bar? Logan prefers the atmosphere. There’s usually a beat up pool table or a dark corner booth where he can go be alone. Fancy places or, God forbid, hipster bars don’t suit him at all so he sticks to the holes in the wall. There’s actually less of a chance of being recognized there, too. Most people know who he is by now but the truckers and the construction workers and the serial alcoholics either don’t recognize him or don’t give much of a shit about who he is. Occasionally there’s trouble, where he gets recognized and someone tries to chuck him out for being a mutant but it’s not a healthy mistake for people to make. Logan’s not even looking for a fight, most times, he just wants to sit somewhere and be anonymous and maybe pretend like his life isn’t the clusterfuck that it always inevitably is.
Stance on the War: It’s for the fate of the world and he’s part of the world so he might as well try to save it. It’s not like he wants to live as a slave for some power crazy alien for the rest of his probably long life so here he is, fighting. He’s the best at it, after all.
Abbreviated Bio:
James “Logan” Howlett was born in the late 19th century in Alberta, Canada. The result of his mother’s affair with the groundskeeper, he witnessed his father murdering his stepfather as a child which triggered his mutant abilities and forced him to flee his home. Before he learned a measure of control, his bestial rage caused him to kill people close to him and he lived a very nomadic lifestyle for a long time. Logan does not remember much of his early life though he has fought in several wars before the current one for the fate of the world.
Around the mid-20th century, Logan was taken by Weapon X and experimented on which is where the adamantium was bonded to his skeleton. Weapon X is also where, as far as Logan understands it, his memory trouble started since they frequently wiped his memory. Eventually, Logan escaped from Weapon X and again lived a nomadic lifestyle. For a time, he worked with the Canadian government and Alpha Flight until he ended up helping rescue one of the early teams of X-men. Charles Xavier offered him a spot on the team and Logan became an X-man. While he sometimes took off to deal with his own issues, he has been a member of the X-men for decades and has been involved in many of the large battles they have participated in. Logan was involved in the Phoenix Five fiasco where he clashed with the Avengers though did end up working with them when it became clear that the Phoenix Five needed to be gotten under control. He’s still not a fan of a lot of the Avengers but understand the necessity of having to work together even if a lot of them rub him the wrong way.
With a new alien threat trying to take over the world, Logan has of course joined the fight. He’s a part of the world, after all, so it makes sense to fight to save it not to mention most of his team is involved in the war effort. Some overly powered alien tyrant trying to take over the world is really just par for the course for Logan at this point and he’s fought in so many wars already that he might as well bring his experience (what he remembers of it) to this fight.
