when he first saw you in the hallway at school, you caught his eye

he was just talking to William and when you passed by him, all his attention on William shifted to you

he couldn’t help it, you were just so mesmerizing

he didn’t fall in love with you immediately since he didn’t really knew what you were like yet

when he did get the chance to though, thats when he was head over heels for you

the more he spends time with you, the more he realizes how his heart beats faster whenever you’re around

whenever you talk to him, he often stutters and mixes up his words

it’s embarrassing for him, but its cute

whenever you tease him, his face just turns red and he tries to tease you back

Mark would mention you a lot to his parents

the first time you came over to help him study, his mom, Debbie asked “Mark, isn’t this the person you often talk about at dinner?”

Mark just stood there, red as a tomato and immediately denied

DATING

eventually he asked you out and you said yes

ever since he got his powers and became Invincible, he would often come late to dates

he would always come up to you, panting while his hand was holding flowers for you or a small gift

he would remember little things about you and try his best to make sure the gift he gives you is something you would like

you heard him apologize a dozen times already about how late he was

of course, you had no idea at the time about his powers and everything so you just assumed he’s being rude on purpose

this led to many fights

you both were able to work it out each time though by communication

when Mark finally told you he’s Invincible after another argument about him being late, you stood there thinking he’s probably making another excuse

“You don’t believe me? Fine.”

Mark then proceeds to float up in the air, his feet were off the ground

that’s when it hit you and made you realize why he was late all of the time

he wasn’t lying, he IS Invincible

ever since that day, your relationship with Mark was stronger than ever

you often had to make excuses for him, but you didn’t really mind (it can get annoying after multiple times)

he would often call you petnames — babe, baby

he would definitely love to cuddle with you and sleep beside you

When I tell you I am still so speechless over this episode.

Sometimes people (even those who AREN'T your family members) can scare you even if you know they can't physically hurt you. They are intimidating like that. And Debbie's an alcoholic. She would be soooooo mad if Mark got rid of all the alcohol. Unbelievably mad. If she's drunk she could turn violent too. We already know she won't hesitate to throw a bottle right into a Viltrumite'face.

For all his invincibility Mark at s2 still protects his face/eyes and is scared when something is about to hit it.

So. Yeah. Add that to the fact that not so long ago he was nearly killed by his dad. And that before that he was doing faighting training with (weirdly mean lately) him for some time (I think it was at least few months before Chicago happened).

So. Yeah.

I loved and hated that in comics we saw the mess Debbie became after Nolan left.

"Why did you have to fight him? We did you have to drive him away?"

and everything else. To the point where Mark started actively avoiding Debbie even though he did everything he could to care for her before. (do I remember that wrong? maybe I do...)

Anyways.

I need a scene where Mark gets rid of the alcohol in the house and Debbie is so pissed it scares Mark.

you know, like when you try to be reasonable and self-righteous and then, facing the person's anger, you feel cold all over and think "I shouldn't have done that I shouldn't have done that" but try to save face and try to not let the spark of being right go. and fail, and your hands are shaking, and you're sweating, and the only thing about you that is calm is your voice, and even that is not for long. And the angered person is big letters "D-A-N-G-E-R" in your vision.

But then the situation continues, and it more or less diffuses itself (or you find the right words. or the person falls asleep suddenly. or you manage to distract the person successfully and they forget to be angry), and you're not dead. And then the situation ends but you're still scared shitless and your hands still shake and you avoid the person for the longest unsuspicious amount of time possible and you kinda forget about the whole thing untill the next time someone raises their voice or looks funny at you😂
