Turns out that Towa and Setsuna have jewelry that matches Kagura's

Look at those pink beads on her wrist. They look kind of familiar, don't they?

They look very similar in design to Kagura's earrings. The only difference is that Towa's are pink and Kagura's are green. And Setsuna is wearing them too!

Look at her left wrist in the second photo. And talking about Setsuna, she's also wearing something else: look at the base of her ponytail. That band looks suspiciously feather-like to me!

So not only does Towa's child design have Kagura's signature short ponytail rather than Rin's side pigtail

But Setsuna wears a feather-like band on her ponytail in the modern era, the same way Kagura wore her feathers on hers. Those are some interesting fashion choices, giving the twins jewelry that matches Kagura's perfectly! 

If they were sessrin children, wouldn't it make sense for their clothes and accessories to resemble both of their parents, the same way Moroha, Hisui, Gyokuto and Kin'u match theirs? How interesting that instead of matching with Rin, they match with Kagura. In fact, Yashahime has missed EVERY opportunity it had to make the twins have things in common with Rin, while they have a ton of things in common with Kagura. From their eye color, to their hair styles, their powers, their color schemes and even their accessories. It all points to Kagura being the real mother and Rin being a misdirection caused by Riku, who is an unreliable narrator that constantly lies both to other characters and the audience. 

Remember Riku the pirate? The “winter fireflies” that were actually illusions? Riku saying that Kirinmaru had abandoned him while Kirinmaru says that he's his most trusted retainer? 

Sesshomaru and his pack were simply passing by the place where his sister met her demise, all was peaceful until the skies started to darken as he felt an evil presence.

Sesshomaru, “Stand back.”

Just as he said that, a demon appeared in front of them. Sesshomaru was having a hard time fighting and protecting his pack from the demon, luckily Inuyasha’s gang appeared, even with the help of Inuyasha and his friends and the power of the two brothers they still had trouble defeating him, however一

“Ack!”

Something managed to slice Magatsuhi in half but both his upper and lower body grew tendrils and tried to attack Sesshomaru but in the blink of an eye all were sliced to nothing, then they felt it, a warm yet intimidating presence was with them but what was it? Sesshomaru and Jaken had a clue on who this presence might belong to as Sesshomaru advanced with Tenseiga unsheathed following the presence who guided him to the scent of Magatsuhi’s true form, he sliced through the air as the true form of Magatsuhi appeared.

Magatsuhi, “C-curse you!”

Jaken, “What’s that?”

Sango, “Is it Magatsuhi’s true form?”

Miroku concluded, “I see, Magatsu was formed by amassing the souls of demons in the Shikon Jewel. Tenseiga will work against anything that isn’t of this world.”

But all of them were wondering, What and who was the presence we felt?

Sesshomaru charged towards Magatsuhi but the evil will of the Shikon Jewel possessed his borrowed body once more blocking Sesshomaru with tendrils. Magatsuhi watched with a grin, “Perhaps that blade can cut through souls, but it can’t cut through Naraku’s flesh, which belongs to this world” in instant Sesshomaru felt two sharp tendrils pierce through him as he tried to steady his breathing as the flesh of different demons covered him.

Sesshomaru felt his left eye pulse before he was transported to a field, Wistful butterflies flying around him as he felt serenity in this realm

“Sesshomaru”

The demon turned to where he heard the voice and there she stood in her spirit form as a blue aura surrounded her, “Sister”

Sara smiled at him, “It seems you’ve figured out huh? The key to earn my sword, the key and the three jewels?”

Sesshomaru may hate his father for not helping his sister but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to surpass him and prove he is worthy as the heir of the Western lands, “Stop thinking that way Sesshomaru”

Sesshomaru stared at his sister, “Why shouldn’t I?”

Sara gave him a stern look, “Don’t make me haunt you in your dreams Sesshomaru, you are more than worthy as the Lord of the Western Lands. That’s why, I, Sara, Daughter of Toga, Lord of the Western lands, shall now pass my position to you, Sesshomaru, Son of Toga, Lord of the Western lands and be the new keeper of the key, the three jewels and my sword, Bakusaiga!”

Inuyasha was having a hard time setting his brother free from Magatsuhi’s grasp as Sesshomaru’s pack were getting worried. As Inuyasha was about to be absorbed, a bright light seeps through the cocoon of demons flesh everyone stood shock as the flesh began to crumble, as the light dimmed stood a battered Sesshomaru but all of them noticed that he now wore a necklace and there was a pouch hanging on his obi.

Sesshomaru’ companions cried in relief, everyone noticed the blacksmith demon, Totosai, riding on his cow as the blacksmith observed the scene. Sesshomaru swung his glowing left side when tendrils tried to attack him but they immediately crumbled from the attack destroying the mounds of flesh. Inuyasha landed watching his half brother as the light in his left arm dimmed.

Rin, “Jaken-sama there’s something in that light.”

Jaken, “That’s…”

Everyone but Totosai stared in shock as the missing arm of Sesshomaru grew back along with a blade, the others listened to the Blacksmith when he started speaking, “It’s finally appeared, Sesshomaru. Behold, the famous sword of a great warrior, one that’s not been made from your father’s fangs, but from your sister’s fangs and her antlers, Bakusaiga.” The Inu gang were surprised by the new information but they noticed when Magatsuhi tried to become one, the flesh that weren’t affected by Bakusaiga’s attack still remained.

Miroku thought to himself, If Naraku absorbs any demons that has been touched by that sword, he’ll suffer the injury too. But who is this demoness who gave Sesshomaru this powerful blade?

Magatsuhi taunted, “Your sister is truly a pain in the neck even when she is already gone. However, since I just borrowed this buddy, I feel no pain or agony!”

Sesshomaru sheathed his Tenseiga and took out the Guardian of Heaven’s Jewel from the pouch as he remembered his sister’s training on how to use the three jewels, creating a triangle that pointed to the sky before slamming his palm in the middle sending out a pure beam to the talking head, but the true form managed to escape the attack. The Inu gang and Sesshomaru’s pack left the clearing and camped in a nearby forest tending to Kagome and Kohaku who were unconscious.

Totosai, “Well, let me see your Bakusaiga.”

Sesshomaru leveled his new sword in Totosai’s view as the blacksmith nodded in approval and smiled, “You’ve always had that sword in you, but it was hidden away along with the key and the jewels. You’re sister, Sara-sama knew that you would want to inherit your fathers sword, Tessaiga, but she already knew that he would never give you Soung’ga nor Tessaiga to you, that’s why before she met her demise, she merged her sword, the key and the jewels to your soul. And not just that I’m sure that all of you felt her presence during your fight, right?” Everyone nodded at this.

Totosai, “The presence you felt is none other than Sara herself, because of her great sorrow and her desire to protect you from her enemies, her tears turned to the crimson pearl where she wished to the three jewels that if she were to perish, her soul will remain in the crimson pearl to protect Sesshomaru. That’s why Inuyasha, when you first learned the Wind Scar it’s not just Tenseiga who protected him but Sara’s soul as well. It’s also why you cannot find her soul in the Netherworld nor here, you may think that she had abandoned you Sesshomaru, but she was always with you.

Your sister placed all her faith in you to be the new keeper of the key and the jewels since she wanted for you to use them not only to protect yourself but the Western lands and your family as well. Your sister was also there when Inuyasha cut off your left arm, but now you have your left arm back along with the heirlooms of your sister, proving that you have surpassed your father in strength and you and your pack are under your sister’s protection.”

Totosai then turned to Rin and Jaken, “Tell me Jaken, Rin, did you feel something like a burn on your back?” Rin and Jaken nodded their head yes “That means that not only does she protect you but Sesshomaru can track you down easier with the help of the Key of the Three Realms as it points to your location like a compass.”

The Inu gang were letting this new information sink in, Inuyasha was having a hard time though, he thought that he and Sesshomaru were the only children of Inu no Taisho and couldn’t help but ask rather rudely, “Oi Sesshomaru! Why didn’t you tell me we had a dead demoness as a sister?”

Jaken sputtered, “You mongrel! You dare disgrace Sesshomaru-sama’s sister in front of him!?”

Sesshomaru glared at him, “I will let this pass, Inuyasha since you know nothing of her like I do. But if you dare insult her name in my presence, know that I will not hesitate to send you to Hell.”
