#introducing zach

Zach is the MC of my WIP, Dark Magic. This is just some basic information about him and his past.

Zachary (Zach) Donovan is a witch. His mother died when he was born and after six years in an orphanage he was taken in by a coven and raised until he left at eighteen.

The coven taught him all they could but the laws prohibiting the use of magic meant his education couldn’t extend past theory. So when Zach turned eighteen he left the coven to start practicing magic without dragging his family into trouble.

After nearly two years of being away from the coven, Zach learns they were attacked. Slaughtered. No one survives.

Zachary wasn’t one to hang around these parts of town at this hour. If his older sister were to see him lurking around at this time he would surely be scolded. However, his suppliers were more heavily guarded now after the huge scene at the bank so he was getting desperate. The young boy fiddled with one of the bells of his Jokester hoodie. The hoodie identified him as a minor criminal to many for his usual small scale robberies. He hadn’t done something like that in a while and even though he didn’t like to steal it became a bad habit for the youngster. It was a free ground to use his powers freely and to add even a small wad of cash to the low amount of money Bachi brought in. 

He sighed as he looked over at the casino as he passed his eyes senseless while also holding a sense of hunger to them. He stood still slowing to a halt in front of the Casino his mask smiling up at the big doors. Music wafted out to reach his ears  and he smiled slightly. ‘Maybe if i’m careful I can slip in unseen and grab some cash. There has got to be loads of sad souls in there at this time of night.’ Zach’s straight face grew into a grin of excitement which flickered sparks around his fingertips. He would have to be careful to not come across Bachi or Scotch as they knew who he was.
