This album is one of the touchstones of my adolescence. My crush was listening to it all the time and later I fell for it, too. The Song of Slurs is my favourite here.

And then comes Ford Mustang. One of the most rhythmic songs of the album. (Your mind goes blank in a Ford Mustang, bang.} 

And an easy and difficult listen at the same time, Initials B.B. 

The whole album is so sickeningly sexy just like the original creator of the songs; Serge Gainsbourg. 

On a cold, gloomy day like this, I wanted to go back to this album. I went to a conference titled ¨Have Medieval Times ended?¨ and had to think about time and relativity, existence and non-existence, yes Mike and Serge, I have come to tell you I’m going.

This is one more album that I would label as modern classic. Wonderful result of collaboration between Mick Harvey and Anita Lane, based on Serge Gainsbourg songs. Real diamond.
