Why, Why, Why
For anyone who knows me, you'll know that I love writing. For anyone who doesn't know me...well, I suppose you know now!
For the past year, I have been working on a project tentatively titled Kings and Jokers for my senior culminating project. Completely sick of that, I am now returning to my one true love. I cannot express how fantastic it feels to run into its outstretched arms and squeeze it tight - to get back inside the heads of Lynn and Enkarin and Jenna and all the other characters who have rented out space in my brain for the past 5 years.
Into a Dream was my first. To it, I lost my authorial virginity when I carefully typed out "The End" at the bottom of page 438.Â
And now I'm starting over. Every relationship needs a fresh start at some point. So, once again, I am putting pen to paper, fingers to keys, mouth to microphone to write, type, and speak out this novel.
"Why?" you ask.Â
"Because the first draft sucks beyond anything editing could possibly fix," is my blatant reply.Â
Let us hope that this draft sucks slightly less.
