#into the program

I got accepted into the program I wanted to do at school!!! It’s the Occupational Therapy program, and I’m really excited. This will mean less time for cosplay. But that’s fine, I’ve done four big ones this year, I have one more planned and then two costumes I’m making for my sister and brother in law for Halloween. But my career was never centered around costuming, so I gotta do what I gotta do. I’m so happy! Gotta take advantage this last month of nothing but sewing and video games. Cause then it’s back to working and studying hard on my actual career.

I was trying to edit last night, which wasn’t working because my computer didn’t have enough space on it, so I came into school after throwing up for 20 minutes this morning.. yuck. Luckily, Gary was around and he helped me by deleting a bunch of applications I don’t use off of my laptop. Now I can upload my footage. J.D. set it up so it imports as proxy media so the huge file size isn’t racking up on my computer. I’m still at school, I’ve been writing and I’m about to start editing. We are shooting at Miranda’s house tonight so that’s where I’ll be after going to therapy in Lakeville and practice, and finishing my job paperwork at home depot. I am really busy. I might stay for lunch so I don’t have to buy it elsewhere, but I’m hungry now. I didn’t get a lot for breakfast. I still need crew. I need sound people. I need script monitors. Anything. Yeah. Help me set up and break down. Get us food. Anything.

So I am writing about yesterday(Today is Wednesday), because I was spent when I got in after filming Tuesday. We ended at 7pm, and got scene 7 done and part of scene 11. I am really sick, but it didn’t slow me down. I had a full day of running errands, going from place to place and then I go to where we were shooting(my old house) at 3:40. I then proceeded to “clean”.. I straight up shoved anything I didn’t want out in my closets or drawers. Then I had to admit that I needed my desk out from underneath my pile of shit on of my closets so I hulk-lifted it out, sending a bunch of stuff crashing onto my floor. In the middle of my attempt to lift it out, my dedicated actors arrived early(I got the text and was begging my phone to say they were running late) alas, I took a second to let them in. My upstairs is super hot so, drenched in sweat I finished arranging furniture while they chilled downstairs.. Embarrassing is the word that comes to mind, but they didn’t seem affected by it. Love them. So the guys, Dom and Hussein arrived and then J.D. and we started setting up lights and the cameras and J.D. gave me some much needed guidance. And then the shooting happened. I am a perfectionist, so I had some takes that weren’t my fav, but the majority of the information got out on the screen so I’m happy. It makes me really think about professionals and how much of the final script is really what the actors perform. Of course they have more time to rehearse and memorize their scripts, but still. It is so hard to go word for word without weeks of practice. Anyhow. I really like the shots we got and then J.D. had to bounce so we moved downstairs and started working on scene 11. Also really embarrassing. My old basement was the home to our cats for a very long time. Gross. Also my sister’s stuff is still down there. I had to shove stuff over once more, and it really made the perfect drug den. My actors are once again, the best people. They didn’t cringe or complain at all at the smell or the mess and it played well. We filmed until Miranda and Derek and Della had to leave, sprint filming the last few takes. I am so proud of them. They concentrated and acted really well. I’m going to have to get them to be a little less theater, but all in all they are fantastic.
