Every place you walked you left a ghost, And I have been collecting souls and sadness In these hollow hands for as long as I can remember. Picking up the pieces of these memories that wonât Stop haunting me, so I can put these thoughts to rest. Goodbye is supposed to be temporary. But temporary is a long time, When you learn to count the seconds in a year. Loss is not something you learn, and time with someone Is something you earn. All this, is worth it. You cannot make nothing into something. You cannot undo what has already been done. We are not now that strength which in olden days we once were steel tempered hearts, gilded in memory, Fractured by time and fate, that which we are, we are Weary. Spread a little too thin. Clicking back and forth between night and day: Black, purple, and blue, the sky sings of the bruises On our arms. The calluses on our fingertips The only way to grow a thicker skin is to lose your sense of touch I wish, I wish I could remember what it was like to touch you. My lungs feel heavier. My shoulders feel heavier. But Iâm doing my best to carry this weight. The trees bend ghost arms into the cold, The snow falling as you walk home. Iâm always thinking of you. Always chasing your ghosts just to see your smile. Because despite that I still think, there is beauty here still In the twilight blue, in the way bruises as they begin to fade Turn butter yellow like the sun rising, whatâs important Is that we are still trying. The leaves will come again, The rain will fall, and best of all, goodbye is only temporary.

Hi hello ok. So I have some questions/want some of your guysâ thoughts/opinions/discourse. Note: Iâm not here to argue with any of yâall I want to here multiple opinions about this/I want to respectfully engage with you whether we agree/disagree.
So the other day I was at an event for my org and hanging out with a group in our chapter predominantly made up of people I knew were LGBTQ (theyâre all in same sex relationships and their significant others were present). So the #s of the group were somewhere around 8 of us who are LGBTQ to 3-4 people that I donât know super well, but for safetyâs sake assumed were straight. I'm pretty close with the people who are also LGBTQ and posted pictures of myself and my best friend on snapchat that said âQueer Babes foreverâ and didnât think much of it. However, the next morning one of the 3-4 people that I donât know super well messaged me asking me to take the snapchat down because 1) she was straight and 2) proceeded to give this whole long speech about how âqueerâ is offensive. She wasnât aggressive or trying to start a fight or anything and I apologized to her and took it down but I also explained to her that I felt the word âqueerâ was an inclusive and furthermore reclaimed term by the LGBTQ community. Anyways, so my thoughts/questions for yâall are
What are your opinions on the use of âqueerâ? Is it negative/offensive? Can only certain people use it? Are there only specific uses of it that are politically correct etc?Â
