Hellsing fans are people from all over the world. From many different cultures. Everyone looks at it in so many different ways. All their headcanons may be totally different, all their views may also be different. That doesn’t mean they are bad people or support bad people!

Are you a fan of Hellsing Organization and Alucard? Great! It doesn’t mean you’re planning an impalement of your enemies or trying to feed your employees with your blood.

Are you a fan of Section XIII Iscariote? Great! It doesn’t mean you’re planning a crusade to kill all heretics or running around with bayonetes and throwing Bible pages everywhere.

Are you a fan of Millenium? Great! It doesn’t mean you’re a nazi, you like Hitler or want to eat babies.

It’s fiction, right? So, chill.

It’s a trendy thing to call ships in Hellsing “problematic”. As I remember a few years ago (and I’m in Hellsing fandom for 15 years now) we didn’t have that much problems and people really were enjoying and respecting each others. Today, you really have to keep things to yourself if you don’t want to be judged or slammed with hate and accusations. It doesn’t matter if you’re alutegra, alusera or hansxshro shipper. Or you’re a Hellsing TV version fan. You’ll be judged. Or hated. Or unfollowed. Or blocked. And sometimes all at once.

And you know what? The most judged fans are the artists, fanfiction writers and roleplayers. People who provide us beautiful fanarts of our fave character, amazing fanfictions with our fave ships, awesome and quality roleplays so we can enjoy our favourite everything even more. And here comes the next problem. If an artist, writer, rper brings a content most people do not agree on, they face a total rejection and are shamed. Why? Because people do not want to see such content, they get upset and uncomfortable. And I can totally understand that. I also feel uncomfortable seeing some of the questionable things. What do I do then? I don’t look at it, do not read it, I close a tab in my viewer, get over it. Because I can. No one force me to read or watch things I do not enjoy. But I know it’s there, because some people feel the need to draw or write things like this and that I can understand. Because MOST of the time it’s their way to express their feelings, their way to cope with problems and their life. And I cannot tell them to stop drawing or writing because it makes me upset. Especially if I know the artist or writer personally and I know he/she is not a bad person. Of course, I can stop supporting them, I can stop commission from them, I can unfollow, but IT’S NOT MY PLACE TO TELL THEM WHAT THEY SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT CREATE. What I’ve noticed is many fans now wants to mess with artists or writers telling them what they should do, draw, write and what they should not. Demanding things from others but not letting them express what they want, is simply an ignorance. Those followers continue to use artist’s creations, request things they like, but still have problems with artist’s personal views and preferences. And most of the time they feel the need to complain and to shame. not even trying to understand or do not want to understand? 

On the other hand, people wants to watch and read porn. So there will always be this content somewhere on the internet, on tv, in books. There always will be loli/shota content, rape and abuse content, public demands it. And most of loli content comes from Japan. It’s popular, it’s common, it’s cute and people really like it. Don’t get me wrong, I do not approve of it, most of the time it was unnerving and uncomfortable for me when I lived in Japan, but well, it is a part of their popculture and it’s everywhere.

But YES!!!. Pedophilia is one of the worst things. So is rape and sexual abuse. And no one is denying it! I personally hate very young Integra being sexually paired with anyone (Alucard, Walter or Penwood and Arthur - yes!, she was even paired with these two...), same goes with young Walter or Shroedinger. I don’t enjoy this type of doujinshi, ff, etc because it makes me very uncomfortable, I’m a mother of two kids, you know. But do I go and shame or throw accusations at the artists? No, I don’t. Because it’s a fiction. A FICTION. But if I see things like that in real life then yes, I would do everything in my power to stop the abuse/rape/child molesting. Because it’s in REAL LIFE.

So lets enjoy things we like and appreciate artists and writers, who give us amazing art and stories. Then they will provide us with more of nice and pretty content and everyone will be happy. Don’t falsely accuse them but just let them shower us with pretty things :)

 Oh, and one more thing.

Recently I saw some posts that jeer alutegra period sex, because it’s gross, it’s awful. It’s biology man!!!!11! But hey, can you imagine? Some people enjoy period sex, in fiction and in real life. Wow! And in Hellsing there are vampires, there is blood, so why the hell can’t there be a period sex too? Do you really think vampires would be grossed out because of biology? No, they are vampires, they EAT people. Period.
