Sometimes, Solar doesn’t really understand some of the things that the Celestials would do in their free time.

He didn’t really know what was going on. It was family game night. That was what Moon had told him. The first thing he noticed was how they were holding plastic devices that has several buttons on it. The screen in front of them lit up several colors and flashed repeatedly. Many different noises came from the screen as well. Beeps and boops and a varying of clicking noises were made as well. In all honesty, it hurt his eyes just looking at it. What was it called again? A television? Solar remembers Moon explaining that to him once. It’s one of the things that he could actually comprehend of this time. That’s one of the many problems that he and Eclipse had even when they first arrived to this dimension. Solar didn’t understand much of anything that was going on and the worst part was that he had to act like he did so that he and his brother didn’t get caught before it was necessary for them to reveal themselves.

Lunar was jumping around screaming several profanities at Sun. Something about a green shell? He knows that Moon has tried explaining things like video games to Solar several times, but it just kinda goes in one ear and out the other. He’s just lucky that he has an abnormal amount of mechanical knowledge. In which took him ages to figure out how to make him stop forgetting the more modern methods of technology. Even then, his knowledge lacks severely when it comes to computer programming. Not that he minds of course. Solar is more than willing to let Moon and Eclipse handle the software. To be fair, Solar has tried software before, it was a little after he first met Eclipse and he was fascinated by the amount of technology he just had in the palm of his hand. Well, it was more so his wrist since that’s where most of his tech is besides his glasses and shoes.

Due to his monologuing, Solar didn’t even notice the small whirring of a portal opening up next to him. What came out of the portal, was his younger brother, Eclipse. Eclipse glanced towards the taller with a half lidded gaze. “Mind explaining what’s got you so fixated on that?” Eclipse sighs. “Y’know you can always join them, right? I doubt they’ll give a fuck if you don’t know how to play. Heck, I don’t either. Mainly because I don’t care to play..what was it again? Mario Cart? Yeah. Id rather not play Mario Cart with how much Sun and Lunar rage at that damn thing.”

Solar squinted when the television flashed even brighter with more yelling and screaming, but this time it being from Sun. Sounded like screams of victory if you ask him. “I know. The screen hurts my eyes though. So I probably won’t.” Solar finally took his eyes off of the family and looked up towards Eclipse. Emphasis on the word up being used, as Eclipse was once again, using his boots’ hover mechanic that Solar has a personal fascination with. Solar always wanted to know about the inner mechanisms of his boots. His glasses too. Modern technology has always interested him. Even if he’s destined to never understand it. But Solar will take what he can get when it comes to learning about mechanics and tech. “Well then, what do you want to do?” Eclipse asks. He casually floats over towards Solar crossing his arms.

“Don’t you want to hang out with them? I mean, I’m sure that whatever they’re doing is much more interesting than my people watching.” Eclipse just chuckles at that and then looks at Solar, deadpanning. “Are you serious? I’d rather join you with your “people watching” than play Mario Cart, which to be frank, looks like a literal war zone in this family.”

“Really? I honestly thought that you’d be bored.” Solar responded. He is happy though that Eclipse is choosing to hang out with him despite how there is a much more fun option right in front of the both of them. “Believe me. This is nothing compared to what I’m normally used to as boredom.”

“Alright. If you really want to.” Eclipse snorted at the response. “Yeah I guess. Now where do you wanna hang out then? It was your idea to do this anyways.”

Solar chuckled. Eclipses snarky behavior either managed to make him laugh, or absolutely pissed. But sometimes, that’s exactly what he needed to make his day. In all honesty, before he found his injured coworker in the midst of the Realm between the Timelines, he was a husk of his former self. He had lost his trust in most, but still wanted to see the good in others despite what mortals had done to him in the past. It shocked Solar when he realized how different mortals of this time are. They are still so oblivious, but still learning. That makes life beautiful though, doesn’t it? Solar doesn’t know where he would’ve been without his brother. And that’s what he’s thankful for most. Because if it wasn’t for Eclipse, Solar might’ve lost whatever humanity he had left at the time.

The two gods walked into their shared room. Solar smiles to himself. Happy that he still has a way to have fun during game nights.

Well the first chapter to say the least

That is a loaded question.

With dark star power if it’s used enough it’ll summon a wither storm. All that the astrals are doing is delaying the inevitable. When a wither storm is summoned it’ll eat everything in the dimension it takes place in. It’s also been mentioned that a wither storm can absorb multiple dimensions in canon. Every dimension is pretty much an alternate timeline. Whenever a dimension collapses by a wither storm or in any other manner. the life of time diminishes. I mean collapse in specific, because a dead dimension can still exist, so the flow of time is still active there. A collapsed dimension is the dimension disappearing completely. Titan’s power is radiation. Since before he switched to dark star power, I like to believe that he originally radiated positive star power in the form of radiation. When he started using dark star power, he ended up radiating dark star power instead. And since he got stronger as time went on, that meant that he radiated more and more dark star power over time. With that on top of his usage of dark star power in general, it makes Titan pretty much expedite the collapse of a dimension faster and faster depending on how strong he is. And when the AU takes place, Titan would be able to expedite the summoning of a wither storm to a concerning amount. Hence, why Eclipse and Solar intervened to begin with.
