Hey there, this is a weird question, but did you happen to draw a comic that was like, about a dog person comforting a cat person who was all "I'm sorry for being such a bitch" and the dog was like "I want you to be happy"? How would you feel about someone getting a tattoo of one of your pieces?
Unless itâs a tattoo design commission made exclusively for them, I would be very upset.Â
My art is very personal to me and it often depicts my original characters that are essentially my muses and important extensions of my identity. Having something so dear to me permanently âclaimedâ by someone by having it inked in their skin feels very wrong and irreversible.
Iâm sorry, but I have really strong negative feelings about this subject. If you respect me as an artist and a person who puts a lot of myself into what I do, please donât get my art tattooed. Unless itâs a piece Iâve made just for you.
