Curse my intolerance for caffeine T.T

Rage is the best motivator.

I can’t wait to see what happens next. 

Finally, it's the first weekend and first day offs of many. I'm still adjusting, especially since the section I got into is Parasitology which is the busiest and toxic section of the Health Services Office (HSO) laboratory. We do fecalysis, which is one of the requirements (or steps) for getting a health certificate. HSO (and our duty) starts at 8, so like EDSA and other roads, it's the rush hour where the bulk of patients would submit their samples. Being in the reception for almost the entire week, it's fun and tiring to greet people, receive samples, release results. Never thought I'll be writing numbers, entering names and adresses on the log book, talking to more than a hundred of people in one day. In college, we were thought that we would deal with patients. Back then, I thought it would just be one or two or they would come and go, not a hundred or more one at a time. With the bulk of them, I only remember less than ten. Some of which I doubt submitted their actual and own samples. Or honest with their ages. Some were 15 or 16, already looking for jobs or getting a government issued ID. And I am also amazed, that there are still people beyond their 60s working. I'm quite sad though that we'll only be staying in the section for 13 days. And this coming week, we'll even have quizzes and exams. Well, that's all for now. Still hafta review.

There will always be a pyramid among us. Someone will always be at the top, the boss, the supremo or the number one. There will also be someone at the bottom, the minority yet the many, the unknown or in my own words, the intern. Our instructor has well...warned us of the people we would meet in the internship program. A doctor who would inspect if you have a phone at places you'll never expect. A senior med tech who would berate you for something that you did. Or with just one mistake, you'll be branded althroughout your life. Then, out of nowhere actually, I chose the most unexpected place to have my internship. The city health deparment. I didn't even know where that was located until that same day I said yes, that's where I'll be an intern. I've hear good things from the place, of course, as well as some cons. Was it really my favorite choice? No. We don't have a lot of choices, which is just sad. But then, I'm rarely spontaneous, and quoting a quote from somewhere, why the hell not? I suddenly remember during high school where we used a pyramid as a symbol for our "business". T'was awesome, our budget was spontaneous as well so we didn't really earn that much. But did we have fun with it. Life's Pyramid. I only heard of the doctor so far, who is by far the person for me who resides at the very top. I wonder who our other superiors would be?
