I USED TO LIVE AROUND THE CORNER FROM INTERNLOGAN AND WE ARE JUST NOW FINDING THIS OUT WHAT THE HELL.
A story for my best friend who's birthday is today!!!
At least, this is how it was going on Earth. But weâre getting ahead of ourselves.
On her 11th birthday, Logan was celebrating as she always had. But miles away, in Europe, a certain book with her name in it called for a special invitation to be sent to her. In ink it was written, carefully folded, put in an envelope and addressed to her house. An owl took it in its talons and flew off, out of a glassless window, and off into the cool Spring air. In the owlâs talons held an entirely different life for Logan. A life filled with magic and witchcraft and wizardry. A life that was, debatably, more suited for her.
But it was intercepted.
The owl, as well as the letter, did not make it. Instead, both were destroyed midflight.
And it was no accident.
Thus began an entirely different life for Logan. She stayed where she was, living as she was. She would hope, deep in her heart, that that wonderful castle lay beyond the Atlantic. That that life was possible, and intended for her. That she was magical.
But she could not have known just how magical she was. That is, until her 19th birthday, which just so happens to be today. Today, when she will, at last, receive her letter.

You check your Tumblr, because a friend of yours had just told you to. She told you sheâs written a story just for you. You began reading, but your reading will have to wait, for your class had just begun.
You sit down, and class goes on as usual. You start to glance along the walls of the classroom, your attention fading. Suddenly, you spy a little red dot on the wall. Itâs moving around. You look around to see who has the laser pointer, but you canât see any laser pointers. You look at the dot again, as it continues to move frantically along the wall. You still canât seem to find the source of it, though. You entertain the thought that perhaps itâs not anyone in the classroom doing that, but someone shining it through the window. You look out the window, and see only a glimpse of a person, ducking behind another campus building.
As soon as class lets out, you go to where you saw the figure. You canât seem to find it. As you turn around, you spot another red dot on the opposite wall. You twirl around quickly to see the figure again, ducking behind another building. You follow him, and spot yet another red dot. You continue to follow, moving farther and farther away from the campus, until you suddenly run across something that makes your heart stopâŚ
âHello! Sorry, did I shine this thing in your eye at any point? Thereâs a label on here, says thatâs dangerous⌠maybe give you eye cancer. Have you got eye cancer? Iâd feel really bad if I gave you eye cancer.â A mad man with a box slips a laser pointer in the pocket of his coat. His beloved box stands behind him, taller and more real then you couldâve imagined.
âAnyway, hi, Iâm the Doctor! Youâre Logan, arenât you?â
You attempt a reply, but your mouth is simply too dry.
âWell, letâs just go off the assumption that you are Logan, because we donât have a lot of time. I need you to come with me. Youâre being watched. So, you need to get inside the TARDIS. Right now.â
He slips quickly into the TARDIS, leaving the door ajar for you. Through the crack, you can see the console, which is farther away in your depth of vision then possible for a box that small. After a second or two of contemplation, you rush inside, and enter the vast interior of the TARDIS. Youâve seen this place millions of times, but now⌠now that youâre here, itâs like youâre seeing it for the very first timeâŚ
The Doctor looks at you, a bit expectantly. You feel obligated to indulge him.
âItâs bigger on the insideâŚâ you say. He grins widely and nods.
âYes, yes it is!â He says proudly, walking past you and shutting the door behind you. âBut enough of the formalities, weâve got business to attend to. Iâve got something of yours.â
You look at him, as he pulls something out of his pocket. A slightly burned envelope. You turn it over in your hands, and you see your address written in green ink. You swallow, looking at the Doctor, then back at the envelope, opening it with shaking hands.
âDear Ms. Creasman,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
Yours Sincerely:
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistressâ
You smile widely as you read it. So you were accepted⌠Hogwarts is real⌠butâŚ
âWhat happened..?â You ask. âWhy didnât I get this when I was 11?â
âSomeone, or a lot of someones, didnât want you to go.â
âWhy?â
He looked you in the eyes. âBecause youâd pose an even greater threat.â
â⌠Threat? Me?â
âOh yes. Youâre very special, Logan, very important. Too important, some say, to let you have that much power.â
âBut what do they think Iâll do?â
âTurn the tide of war.â
â..What war??â
âIâll let him tell you.â He said, going to the console. You follow him.
âWho?â
âYouâll see! Iâm keeping it a surprise.â
You watch him as he starts flipping switches and doing all sorts of things that youâll probably never understand what it does. The thought makes you smile a little. He truly is the Doctor.
âDoctorâŚâ You say in a British accent, because thatâs the only correct way to say it.
âHmm?â
âWhat makes me so special?â
He looks at you. âOnce again, Iâll let him tell you.â
He flips a final switch.
âWRRRRRâŚ.WRRRRRâŚ.WRRRRRâŚ.â
The ship starts to shake violently, and you grab onto the console for dear life. The adrenaline kicks in, and you start laughing as the TARDIS shakes and spins. Your laugh infects the Doctor, putting a grand smile on his face.
Then, way too soon, you think, the TARDIS stops. You look around.
âWhere are we?â you ask.
He looks at you and smiles. âAsgard.â
ââŚwhat???â You ask. This is one part AMAZING, and one part overwhelming. Youâre not sure you can handle all this in a few minutes.
âGo outside, see for yourself!â
You look towards the door, and slowly walk towards it. You open the doorâŚ
Holy shit. Youâre in Asgard. You see the buildings that pose as giants compared to what youâve seen before. The tops of the tallest towers stretch out to touch the heavens, a vast starry sky clear and crystal. The golden aura of the city is almost too bright and too powerful to look at, but you manage. You look down, and find that youâre standing on a crystalized, rainbow bridge. The Doctor walks out of the TARDIS with you. You look up at him.
ââŚthis isâŚâ you mutter.
âI know.â He responds, looking at you and smiling.
You smile back.
âNow, to get you an audience with the God of Thunder.â
You swallow, taking his hand. You and he walk together towards the looming, honestly intimidating city. You look around as you walk. Not many people are walking the streets right now, but those who are leer a little at you. You sense a distrust with them. Some have a hint of fear, as well.
âWhy are they looking at me like thatâŚ?â
âAgain, they think youâre a threat.â
âWhy?â
He just nodded forward. You sigh and walk with him, up to a giant set of golden doors. The guards stop you and the Doctor.
âWhat is your business here?â One asks. The Doctor pulls out his psychic paper, and thus, are immediately given entrance. The doors swing open wide, and you step in.
You walk through a grand hall, the archways that hold the ceiling so far up above you, you can barely see it. The floor beneath you is polished gold and marble, making your footsteps echo across the expanse. The Doctor walks with you until you reach the throne room. There, upon the throne, sits Thor. He swiftly gets up off of his throne, and walks toward the Doctor with a menacing glare.
âWhat is the meaning of this?? Why have you brought the child??? Send her back immediately!!â
âUm... no. No, I donât think I will.â
âYou test-â
âThor, weâve talked about this. She needs to know!â
âI gave no permission to bring her here!!!â
âThat is true, however, I am here now.â
âYou will leave.â
âI will not.â
âYou forget who stands before you!â
âSo have you!â He shouts back. Thor stays silent for a moment, an obvious strain in his face.
â⌠What do you hope to accomplish? Do you wish us all damned?â
âNo. I wish for this to end. I wish for there to be an understanding.â
âThere is nothing more to understand! I forbid you to tell her!â
â⌠As you wish.â He says, stepping back a bit. âThen youâll have to tell her.â
âI will do no such thing. I will not sign my peopleâs death warrant.â
âShe will not hurt you!â
âShe will do what he says!â
You look at the Doctor, who looks at Thor. âOhhh, now youâre gonna have to explain that one.â He says, smirking.
âBe gone.â
âTell her.â
âI said be gone!â
âTell her first!â
âDo not TEST me!â He shouted, reaching out his hand for Mjolnir.
âIâll test you however I like!â
Thorâs hammer found its way to his hand, and Thor raises it above his head.
âBE GONE!!!â
âRUN!â The Doctor suddenly shouts, taking your hand and bolting. You struggle to keep up with him, as you feel electricity shoot through the ground, rapping at the bottoms of your feet. You wince and jump up a bit in pain.
âGuards! Throw them out! They are banished from Asgard!â
âOk, I might have pushed him too hard.â The Doctor admits, running as fast as he can. You see guards in golden armor start towards you, weapons in hand. You hold onto the Doctorâs hand tighter, trying to keep up. You and he just barely make it out of the castle before the guards get to an unsavory close distance to you. They start firing their weapons, bolts of light skimming past you and hitting walls in front of you. The Doctor slips into an alley, then into another, trying to get them off your trail. After a while of running, you stop hearing sounds of pursuit. The Doctor slows down, then stops, catching his breath. You take the time to catch yours, too.
âSo⌠now what?â You ask. The Doctor sighs.
âI guess Iâm going to have to tell you.â He looks at you. âListen⌠the war I was talking about⌠itâs between Thor, and his brother Loki. Thorâs winning, but your birth marked a foil in his plans. You alone are capable of winning the war for Loki.â
â⌠How?â
â⌠You are Lokiâs daughter. His only daughter.â
You swallow. You⌠Lokiâs daughterâŚ?
âBut⌠how?â
âYou were given to your human parents. It was decided by Asgardian council that you wouldnât be raised by him. They fear that Loki would have that influence on you to take the throne from Thor.â
Your body shakes a bit. So all this timeâŚ
You hear shouting behind you. âTime to go.â The Doctor whispered, taking your hand and running. You run with him, the world around you blurring a bit as you contemplate the significance of all this. Soon, you find yourself back at the TARDIS, but you canât really recall how you got back. You just kinda did.
The Doctor sighs. You look at him.
â⌠I want to see him.â You say.
âHmm?â
âLoki. I want to see him.â
âThatâll be a bit difficult.â
You look at him. He looks back. Then he grins.
âLokiâs in a holding cell on S.H.I.E.L.D.âs Helicarrier. Which means the security will be insanely difficult to get past.â
âCouldnât you just land the TARDIS in the room Lokiâs in?â
âWell, yes, but itâs what happens after that thatâll be hard. Once weâre in there, theyâre going to do everything in their power to make sure we donât come out.â
âThen land it in his cell, pull him inside, then leave.â
âThe cell? No, no, the cellâs too small to fit the TARDIS. We need to be outside it. Itâs then we have a problem. We have to open his cell without them knowing... thereâll be countless security measures.â
âWell, you have the Sonic, donât you? Just use that!â
âYes, thatâll get by the security measures, but that wonât stop them from knowing about it. Once we open the cell, the place will go on lockdown.â He says as he paces around the console. âSo all it would do is lock us in as wellâŚâ
âWhat if we ejected the cell from the ship?â
âWell, then the cell would come crashing down to Earth.â
âBut wait, what if we ejected the cell, then we got back in the TARDIS, flew it down to the falling cell, open it, and grab him before it hits the ground?â
ââŚâŚ that would be extremely dangerous and hard to pull off.â
âItâs the only plan weâve got so far.â
â⌠Ok, letâs do this.â He said, starting up the TARDIS. âThis is gonna be fun.â
âWRRRRRâŚWRRRRRâŚWRRRRRâŚâ
Soon, you land inside the Helicarrier. You and the Doctor step out, and into Lokiâs cell. You look into the transparent cell, and find him there, sitting on the floor. He looks like heâs been there for a while. While the Doctor runs over to the controls, you lightly tap on the glass. Loki looks up and sees you, and his eyes go wide. You smile a little and wave at him. He does not return the wave, but his face betrays various, conflicting emotions. You swallow as you watch him. You canât tell if heâs happy to see you or not.
âOk, on threeâŚâ you hear the Doctor say. You donât look at him, but instead keep your focus on Loki. You put your hand up to the glass, trying to let him know itâll be alright.
âOneâŚâ
He looks at your hand, then back at you.
âTwoâŚâ
You give him a reassuring smile.
âTHREE!!â
You back away from the glass in time to watch Loki suddenly get sucked down through the ground. The noise of rushing air presses against your eardrums, and you feel yourself being pulled into the open hole.
âCOME ON!â The Doctor shouts, running to the TARDIS, which is slowly sliding to the edge of the hole. You try your best to get on your feet and follow, but the wind suction is a very powerful thing. You slip just as you reach within armâs reach of the TARDIS, and begin to slide closer to the hole. You canât find anything to grab onto. The Doctor, already inside, reaches an arm out to grab your hand. You reach out as far as you can, and just manage to grab his fingers as you and the TARDIS topple over the edge and into the vast, blue atmosphere.
You hold onto the Doctorâs hand for dear life, your body being flung in different directions as you and the TARDIS freefall down towards Earth. It doesnât even feel like youâre falling⌠it just feels like youâre floating. The Doctor pulls you inside, and slams the door behind you. He then rushes to the console as you lay on the floor, catching your breath. He frantically starts trying to steer the TARDIS down to the falling cell.
âLogan, I need you to get on the other side of the console!!â He yells. You ignore your exhaustion and get up, running to the console. He gives you instructions and you follow as quickly as you can. The TARDIS groans in protest, but the Doctor doesnât let up.
âHold this!!â He said, nodding to a hand he was keeping pushed down on a lever. You replace his hand on the lever, and he bolts to the doors. He throws one open, and you can see outside the cell, within spitting distance. He take out his Sonic Screwdriver and aims it at the cell, trying to get within reach of the actual door to the cell. You canât tell if it opened or not, but soon the Doctor is yelling at Loki to jump. A second after, Loki tumbles into the TARDIS, and the Doctor slams the door shut. He runs back to the console and steers it to safety. On a viewport, you see Lokiâs cell tumble through the air, crashing on a shoreline, shattering to pieces.
After a while, Loki stands up, looking around. You look back at him, releasing all the buttons you were holding down. You slowly and nervously approach him, and he looks at you. Thereâs a palpable tension between you two, and you wish it would go away. He just looks at you, his expression once again difficult to tell.
âUm⌠hiâŚâ you say.
â⌠It is youâŚâ he mutters. You nod. â⌠How did you find me?â
âShe had help.â The Doctor said. Loki glanced at him, then back at you.
â⌠You⌠you came backâŚâ
You nod, smiling. âI did⌠I wanted to see youâŚâ
You see a hint of a smile on his face.
âI⌠I am glad. I have been mourning your lossâŚâ
You swallow. âYou haveâŚ?â He nods. You smile. âI can imagine⌠it was lonely for youâŚâ He nods again.
âIt was⌠the only one I could call my own was takenâŚâ
You nod, swallowing. âIâm sorryâŚâ
âYou are here nowâŚâ
You look up at him. He looks back.
âSorry to interrupt, but Thor, as well asâŚ. Everyone else would like to have a chat.â The Doctor said. You look at him. The Doctor looks back. âThey want to hold a council.â
âI thought we were banished?â You reply.
âWell, I guess Thor decided to be a bit more democratic.â
âI have no business with my brother.â Loki says. You look at him.
âWe have to make things right. Clear your name, as well as mine.â
âNo. They wonât understand. They never will.â
âWeâll MAKE them understand! You deserve to be treated fairly.â
ââŚâ he went and sat down, not saying a word. You follow him.
âLoki⌠fatherâŚâ you mutter. He looks at you. âThey think youâre the villain. I know youâre not. I know we can stop this war. We can finally be together, as father and daughter. PleaseâŚâ He sighs. âHe still loves you, you know⌠Thor⌠he still loves youâŚâ
â⌠He took you away from me. Besides⌠heâs not my real brother.â
âBut he still loves you. He just wants whatâs best for you. He doesnât want to fight you.â
ââŚâ
âPleaseâŚâ
â⌠It will be fruitless. But very well.â
You smile and nod to the Doctor. He nods.
âWRRRRRâŚWRRRRRâŚ.WRRRRRâŚâ
âWeâll show them. I promise.â
___________________________________________________
You arrive back at Asgard. The Doctor and Loki walk out with you. Loki is visibly nervous. You hold his hand and look at him. He looks back and smiles softly. You return the smile.
You walk with them to the throne. This time, it is not only Thor who is present, but a fair number of officials as well. Many of them keep their focus on Loki. Loki gives them a menacing glare. You squeeze his hand a bit. Thor addresses all who are present, and looks at Loki with a meaningful look. Loki swallows.
âBrotherâŚâ Loki addresses in a slight sarcastic tone. Thor sighs, and stands up.
âBrotherâŚâ he replies, not sharing the sarcastic tone. âI have sent for you and your daughter, because she now knows the truth⌠and, thus, we find ourselves in a difficult position.â
âShe wonât harm you.â The Doctor says, like heâs been saying it again and again.
âI want to trust that⌠but for our people, I must remain skeptical. It is my duty.â Thor says solemnly.
âThorâŚâ you begin to say. âI donât want to hurt anyone. All I want is to be with my father.â
âHe will make you to be like him!â An official calls out. The rest yell their agreement.
âSilence!â Thor demands, and the room goes quiet.
âYouâve taken away enough.â You say. âAll because you think Iâll end up being bad. Donât you think that taking away all this from me will end up making me hate you even more?â
Thor looks at you.
âBut I donât hate you. I know where youâre coming from. I want to make this right. Not just for me, but for you and your brother as well. Loki has always felt outcast and different, and you treating him like that wonât make it any better. I know you love him. And I know he loves you too.â
Loki and Thor look at each other.
âIf you could talk about it like adultsâŚâ You continue. âThen Asgard could be a better place⌠you could join forces.â
Loki swallows, looking down at the floor.
âI do not deserve this.â He whispers to you.
âYes, you do.â You whisper back.
âWe shall talkâŚâ Thor proclaims. Loki looks up at him. Thor walks down from his throne and looks him in the eye.
âWe shall talk⌠what say you, brotherâŚ?â
â⌠yesâŚâ he replies meekly. Thor smiles and pulls him into a hug. You and the Doctor smile.
_________________________________________________________________
Soon, you and The Doctor and Loki return to the TARDIS. The Doctor steers the TARDIS back to your home. You step out to face the house youâve lived in for years. You sigh, and look back at them.
The Doctor steps out. âSo⌠what will you do now?â
âHmm?â
âThe day is saved, family reunited⌠where are you going to go from here?â
You shrug. âI guess to what Iâve always been doingâŚâ
âThatâs awfully boring, isnât it?â
âYeah⌠but I have a life here. I have friends, family, and a boyfriend. I canât abandon them.â
âQuite right you canât⌠quite rightâŚâ he says, seeming deep in thought. âWell, anyways. Happy Birthday, Logan.â He smiles and pulls you into a hug. You hug him tightly back.
âThank youâŚâ You say into his chest. He smiles. You can feel his double heartbeatâŚ
After a while, you pull out of the hug, and see Loki step towards you.
âI wish you could stay with meâŚâ he says. You sigh.
âI know⌠I do to. But I will come visit you! Like, every day.â
He smiles. âHappy Birthday, my child⌠and thank youâŚâ He says, hugging you. You hug back.
You hug for a while, then Loki steps back, smiling. He walks back to the TARDIS. The Doctor looks at you.
âHow do you think youâre gonna visit him every day?â
âWell⌠youâre gonna take me, arenât you?â
â⌠I dunnoâŚâ he said. You suddenly feel a pang of grief.
â⌠What do you mean? Canât you?â
âIâll see.â He says quickly, suddenly heading to the TARDIS and closing the door.
âWait!!â You call out, before the TARDIS, in a whirl of wind, disappears.
You stand there for what seems like forever⌠thereâs a hole in your heart, and you feel like youâre about to cry⌠you canât believeâŚ
âWRRRRRâŚ.WRRRRRâŚ.WRRRRRâŚâ
You look up quickly, as the TARDIS materializes back where it was. You hear voices in it⌠you recognize many of them⌠your college friends, your boyfriend⌠Elodie, and everyoneâŚ!
The door swings open, and you see me standing there, with a party hat on. I look like the girl Iâve always wanted to be. Behind me, you see everyone there, including the Doctor, holding a party just for you.
âGet in, loser!â I call out to you. âWeâre going shopping!!! And maybe Dalek hunting. That might also be a thing weâre doing.â
You and me! Lodie or Elogan or whatever!
aww youâre cute <3 also yeah what would our ship name be?? those both sound goodâŚ
â-
Elodie twiddled with the bandaid on her finger, wrapping and unwrapping it slowly. She knew Logan would be home in a few minutes and didnât want to start anything before they went out again. âHey, how was work?â she said, looking up as she heard the door swing open.Â
