Often when I dream it's like interdimensional television. Like, I'm not present in the dream and instead it's something I'm watching. Last night I had one that was so vivid I have to record it here.
It was called Mara: Where the Games Live. It was about a college freshman named Mara who gets the opportunity to visit a town where video game characters live. Epsides were 15 minutes long and uploaded online. It was kinda like Drawn Together, except I've never seen that. The cast was:
Mara: Mara wasn't from anything. She was a short brunette who won a lottery to live a semester in the town of Video Game characters. She was shy in the presence of so many famous characters and saw this as an opportunity to work on her confidence and get laid. She was always looking for a reason to stay in the town.
Chie, from Persona 4: I should stress my knowledge of P4 only comes from Cross Tag Battle, where I play Chie a lot. Here she was grown up and made a living writing smut on the internet. She hosted Mara's transfer and was the emotionally intelligent one of the group. She was in an open relationship with CJ from GTA San Andreas.
Mario: Mario was both the jock stereotype and the wealthy elite stereotype. It was said that due to his fame he was constantly trying to push the boundaries of what he could get away with, including being a cannibal. But he was staunchly not a pedophile and one episode involved him dismantling the town's child sex trafficking ring with a fire flower.
Afro Thunder from Ready 2 Rumble Round 2: this was a pull from my childhood. Afro Thunder acted exactly like Donkey from Shrek and did a musical number about his motorcycle.
Link, specifically the four Links from Four Swords: a boyband in this world and one of the reasons Mara transfers to the town. She's hoping to make one her boyfriend, but it turns out they are a hivemind so she dates all of them. I don't remember them having s single line of dialogue but they seemed chill.
Homer, from the Simpsons: Yeah, I can't explain why he was there in a town for video game characters. He lived with Chie and Mara. It was implied that he and Marge were divorced and that Lisa was a sophomore in college. It was well-meaning bumbling Homer, not aggressive jerk Homer.
Tom Nook from Animal Crossing; Never played an Animal Crossing, but Tom Nook was there as the George Costanza of the group. Small, angry, and put upon. He also wore glasses. At one point he was dressed as a smurf for reasons I can't explain.
Chrom, from Fire Emblem: this was another weird one, because I have played FE: Awakening. I've played it a lot. But here Chrom took on the persona of Wayne from Letterkenny, right down to the outfit. He was often putting Mario in his place
Princess Daisy: Daisy was Chie's best friend and was regrettably a ditzy cheerleader stereotype. She told Mara that the Links were terrible in bed because none could find the g-spot and at one point she won a wet t-shirt contest "in one splash" she was also dressed in a red dress the entire time?
That's it. That's all I remember.
