Quick question for all you other Spiders out thereā whatās the trick to traveling around the Multiverse? Because if what weāve been hearing from you guys is true, then we want a piece of that action!ā Scarlet
Hey, Lucky. A few of our alternate-universe selves have nylon netting running from elbow to waist of their costumes. To signify...I dunno, that spiders built webs in their armpits or something. I can see that yours doesn't have that *now,* but did it in the past when you were still nailing down what you wanted "Spider-Man" to look like?
-Specs
The original costumes (the ones me and Scarlet used back during that prizefight and our very first days fighting crime) did, but they ultimately proved to be more trouble than they were worth. Yes, it looked kinda cool, but the material was a pain to work with, and it didnāt help that the webs were *frequently* getting cut up in fights. After our second fight with Black Cat, we ultimately went āscrew itā and ditched the webs when we made what Gwen calls the ā1.5 suitsā (the ones we wore when the Sinister Six first came together and then got wrecked when the Green Goblin went on the attack).ā Lucky
Oh yeah, that reminds me: how many spare costumes do each of you have? I presume you're not wearing the same set of tights every single day and letting the smell of sweat accumulate until laundry day.
-Specs
Five to six for both me and Scarlet. Angelica has aboutā¦seven, I think?ā Lucky
While Luckyās correct on his and Scarletās wardrobe, Angelicaās up to eight or nine. Since the insulative lining in those suits is a bitch and a half to wash, it helps to have a spare or two.ā Gwen
And since Gwenās job is to sit around the apartment all day doing tech and dispatch stuff, she just wears alternating tops and yoga pants.ā Scarlet
A lot of Felicia Hardys (Hardies?) across the multiverse aren't nearly as evil as the one you guys tangle with. Some of them are outright heroic. (Mine considers herself a bit of both, but is ultimately just retired.) Have you guys met any of those less-villainous Black Cats yet, and if so what'd you think of them?
-Specs
Havenāt met any yet, if for no other reason than we donāt really do much traveling outside our universe. Though if what weāve picked up from the Sinister Sixās blog is anything go to by, then the one from whatever world Spider-Glass lives in seems to be okay in our books (though we may be biased for her shutting our Black Cat down for trying to bribe her way into magic.)ā Lucky

Mystery Monday #29: Communication
OK so, even though the Calamity Stones were destroyed and the portal between worlds severed forever, I still hold out hope that another kind of link will open up at some point. Here's how.
It all started when Anne gave Sprig her phone. Nobody knew at the time how significant this gift would be.
You see, not long afterward, Polly went to the Royal Library and educated herself on techniques to learn how things work. Then she reverse engineered a piece-by-piece duplicate of the phone in an attempt to figure out how it worked. (I like to imagine Andrias let her in and shared some knowledge from early in his own life, as part of his sentence of cleaning up the giant mess he made.)
Polly then used her duplicate to call Sprig on his phone, who wondered for a moment why his pocket was making music and vibrating before Ivy figured out how to answer it.
Soon Polly, Andrias and Frobo had made 86 more phones and given them to the rest of Wartwood. She called several residents on their new phones. Then, Polly decided to go bigger. She acquired and repurposed some of Andrias's frobots to mass produce more phones and sell them across both known continents.
One day while chatting with Sprig about his and Ivy's latest discovery, the Frog Man had an idea: why not use the phone to call Anne?
So Polly went back to the ancient library. With help from Andrias (and Frobo), Polly found some books on the music box that the ancients had been gifted stolen from another world. They studied the properties it had that allowed it to open portals to other worlds, but nothing was clicking.
Eventually Professor Herringbone came in to the room looking for study materials. He had heard all about this newfangled gadget thanks to his students, so when he saw Polly, he asked for a demonstration from the inventor herself. Polly was glad to oblige. She took the phone and showed him all the features, from looking at pictures to calling her grandfather. Then she told him what she was currently working on. He suggested that she just show him how it currently works, so he could get an idea of how well it was going. Polly reluctantly agreed.
So, since she didn't know Anne's new number, Polly looked up Anna_Banana's name on the internet. To her shock, it was there!
So Polly and Herringbone called Anne and caught her up on the happenings in Amphibia from the past few years. Anne in turn told Polly about everything that happened to her since she left. She even said that she'd been back in touch with Marcy and Sasha, and gave Polly their usernames!
Eventually the word got out around both worlds: interdimensional communication WAS possible, and all they had to do was open up their phones!
So I guess this ended up being more of a fanfic than a theory. But it's still a mystery what happened after Anne, Sasha and Marcy departed their second homes!
See you next week on Mystery Monday!
So, this is aā¦thing, I guess. For all you other Spiders out there, my nameās Paul Wilkinson, and I used to be a counterterrorism operator for the FBI. Now Iām doing the same thing as a member of Prism, an elite organization focused on dealing with a new generation of terroristsā terrorists outfitted with biological enhancements, advanced tech, and all kinds of fun stuff. Lucky for us that Iāve got spider powers thanks to me accepting a job as a lab rat for DARPA. Hopefully, you other Spidersāll pick up a few tips and tricks in dealing with the bad guys from meā and hopefully, Iāll learn some things from you. This is Lieutenant Tarantula, agent of Prism, signing off for now.
