Dr. Kwesi Ewoodzie of @culturebeyondborders and Kwabena Boateng of @africandiasporanation & @hbcuafricahomecoming were the first two people I thought of when invited to present for InterCultural Atlanta. Together with my brand @interculturalcommunities, we led a discussion on the Impact of Ghana's Year of Return on the African Diaspora and our collaborative work. The African Diaspora is a collective of people of African descent living outside of Africa. The African Diaspora is one of the most active communities of citizens outside of their countries, so all the more reason to channel our efforts. The Year of Return 2019, in Ghana, was linked to the 400th anniversary of the first recorded arrival of enslaved Africans in the Americas. Yesterday we discuss Ghana's history and how they because a premier welcomer for the African Diaspora, Ghanaβs Year of Return 2019, and Beyond the Return initiatives globally and locally that are reigniting the relationship between the African Diaspora and Africa. Iβm grateful for my partners in this movement, Kwesi and Kwabena, and to Mayira of InterCultural Atlanta for the invitation. #Interculturalists #PanAfricanists #Bridgers #InterCulturalAtlanta #InterculturalCommunitiesProject #CultureBeyondBorders #AfricanDiasporaNation #Identity #Unity (at Georgia State University) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9GAOsgAqan/?igshid=1ez7bbhnff3l2
