Location: The Garden restaurant 

Even though they had a good Christmas together with Sammy, Harrison still had a lot of fear surrounding his relationship in the last few months, and it was becoming obvious it wasn’t helping things. He didn’t disappear to his house and shut Franny out for days like he had done in the past, but he didn’t have much to say about what they were going through. He feared that if he did, it would cause a fight, and according to Franny, the fighting was the reason they were going through a rough patch. He felt differently, but he didn’t say it. However, he thought maybe an evening together, without Sammy was a good idea. If nothing else, maybe they could talk and just be honest and rekindle what they had, in the beginning. They arrived just in time for their reservation and they were led to their table by the staff.  “You know, it was really hard to make a reservation here this time of year,” he commented. “I guess we got lucky.”

Location: Franny’s house

The past few weeks had been upsetting, to say the least. After Halloween, he and Franny had their fight, and since then he had been holed up in his house, trying to focus on his work with Kawasaki and doing some of the things he usually did to de-stress that didn’t involve drinking, but had been unsuccessful. He should have known by now that alcohol didn’t solve his problems in the slightest bit, but he was beyond the point of caring. He was drunk when he ripped up their family photo. So much so that he didn’t remember it until she brought it up. Since the fight they had only been communicating through texts, until he stopped answering her all together for a few days because he got tired of it. He knew he overreacted. He knew he was being ridiculous. He wanted to fix this but he was confused, hurt and questioning everything now. After taking some time to cool off, he decided to go to her and try to apologize, knowing it was his only chance at saving this.

It was almost getting too cold to drive his bikes, with the roads forming frost in the early mornings, so he took his car. If he called first, she probably wouldn’t have answered, so he simply pulled up in front of her house. He sat outside for a moment, second guessing himself before he let out a deep breath and forced himself to go to the door. He knocked and waited. “Fran?” he said to the closed door. “Look, I know you’re home. Can we just talk? Please?”
