When she swiveled around to face him, he froze in place. Art had never shed a tear in him. She was always so calm, joyous, whenever with him. Her expression was that of frost. Tears streamed down her face, rapidly freezing as they rolled off her chin. His heart fractured then, his face struggling to retain his composure.

"Why should I? You scorched THEM. Because of you," she spat, her voice filled with contempt, "they can fly no longer." 

Zapdos couldn't fly? News to him. He had witnessed the bird fleeing from their confrontation just fine.

"I saw the-"

"I found them." She cut him off. Mist emitted past her lips as she spoke harshly, ice silvering the air. "They came to me. They barely arrived in time to Seafoam Island before collapsing on the shore. They used the last of their strength to seek my aid.

"Me. Zhen." She enunciated each and every word. She stalked forward, hands curling, hooking into deadly talons. "I cradled him in my wings, Zhen. I cried on the shore for Raiden. Praying they would stay alive to the next day. You burned them. You seared their wings black." 

Zhen flinched, expression becoming panicked. "B-But I can fix them. Jus-" 

"NO!" 

She propelled herself into the air. Zhen planted his feet, bracing against the sudden gust that threatened to launch him back. He watched her form shimmered, becoming that of an Articuno.
