Hiya everyone! Happy Pride Month!

The end of Jun marks the end of the first half of 2026 (does that seem as crazy to you as it does to me??) The months have really flown by.

It's been an eventful month visibility-wise for Merry Crisis (we just passed the 6,000 wishlist mark, and had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Southeast Asian Games Showcase!

As for game-dev & writing, I made some good progress as well, getting up to Chapter 4 for the VN, and creating a little interactive 'proof-of-concept'/prologue. Golden Boot is a football/soccer game set in the CT:OS universe to coincide with the World Cup, if you're into that.

So, I know the past month has been hectic, sickness, being hit by a dog, but good lawd, today I almost got bitten by a dog 💀 BUT

This week has been the MOST productive from last month, which is a good sign that this whole month will be productive (hopefully)

The goals that I set out to complete were completed (Thankfully I only had to pull 1 all-nighter to write (The other two were to study cause exams) )

Edited a few hundred words to make the things flow smoother, Ula's a bit more magical, and beautiful now Added a few lewd options that'll get you punched or scowled at (I'm having way too much fun lmao) The option to Harag's house is still being implemented and worked on, I still need to work on the different choices that'll get you on the path and also give you a good reasoning other than "Haha! Anarchy time!!"

That's pretty much it! As of now, the book stands at 30K words, My goal for next week is 33K words, (Hopefully)

Lost In Your Eyes:

Introducing a new character! Good lord, This one’s friggin hawt He’s kind, he’s soft, but by god, he’s a MAN. Romancing him will be rough since he’s close to 30 (I won’t reveal his true age due to spoilers) But since you’re in your early teens (Idc if he’s “Daddy material”) He’s going to be reluctant to engage with you UNLESS you’re EXTREMELY persistent. Also, yer vampires, so age doesn’t matt- siren noises AGE DOESN’T MATTER UNLESS YOU’RE BELOW 18. EVERY CHARACTER HERE ISN’T JUST ABOVE 18, THEY’RE ABOVE 20!!

a lot of things were deleted and removed. A lot of things were changed. 3k words were additionally added.

As I said before, the game won’t care if you’re shy or dominant. If you choose a shy route with John (Yep, that’s the character’s name.) things will be a bit more spicy if you’re dominant. Lots of internal monolouging. I wonder if you guys will catch John’s symbolism. I wonder if you caught every character’s symbolism and what I want to portray through them XD

That’s pretty much it! As of now, the book stands at… drum roll 169K (I need to grow up.)

Tomorrow, DP 1A are like those brave monkeys shot into space for the first time...interactive orals!  I am eager to see how it plays out.  Here are my impressions of the interactive oral process and purpose.

The process:

The leaders of the oral (in this case the groups that created the scaffolds to articulate the deeper strategies necessary for comprehension and analysis of Chronicle of a Death Foretold) will lead in to the discussion discussing: A. the process by which they created the product of their reading of the text (maps, family trees, timelines, etc.) and how they utilized the text to support their thinking.  Then, they will invite the group to consider the ramifications of their creation.

The rest of the group will take notes and brainstorm questions to ask about their process and challenges or agreements to the process.  When the discussion leaders finish their talk, the rest of the class will engage the leaders in to discussion.

I then envision a productive back and forth, with the aim of meaning-making and a deeper understanding of the text.  Ground your thinking in the text!
