Some might say that Kane was very out of place and he was. Or he would have been if Q was strolling along next to him. After all, at Quen’s side was just about the best place Kane could be. Arguably it was the only place he did belong. He had heard that Jasper had offered to take the evening shift which was nice of him. It allowed Quen and Kane to show up on time for everything. Honestly, after what happened last time they interacted, kindness was the last thing Kane had expected from Jasper. Though it was good to hear. He was sure the act was for Quen and not for himself but as long as he was nice to Quen that’s what matter most. 

Taking Quentin’s hand, Kane stood next to him as people milled about eating and drinking from the tables. He had a beer in his free hand and offered Quen a drink as well. “S’gotta be the most fancy event I ever been to.” He admitted as he glanced around. He felt a bit odd dressed in his suite of all things. He hadn’t ever worn it but got it when he’d moved in with Quen. Apparently, it was a good thing to have on hand. Quen pulled it off a lot better than he did. “Ya’ look ‘mazing.” Kane mumbled as he leaned in and pressed a kiss to Q’s temple.
