Re-plastering tip! We put our backing plaster up to these pipes that were previously covered and the wall was wet. After rubbing up the backing plaster with the devil float we cut back the plaster so none was touching the pipes. Then we filled the channels with instastik. When we go to skim the wall tomorrow we will slice off the foam level with the backing plaster with the razor sharp trowel. What this will do is isolate and insulate the pipes and moisture will not form around the area preventing wet patches occurring where the pipes are. Most plasterer would go straight over these and this would cause issues later.
