Being a face painter on a busy bank holiday weekend in August, it’s far too manic at the mo to keep up with the #100daysofmakeup challenge this weekend, so instead have another look at my piece inspired by the trend formed by @dom.skii and @abbyrobertsartistry - - This could be interpreted two ways, the obvious being the mask of social media when behind the posts life can be dark and very different. There are always lots of posts, inspired pieces on the constant desire for ‘likes’ to establish our worth as an artist or even a person. - - But what about we spin that idea on the head. What about those days when we feel dead inside, but social media inspires us. From something that inspires to create, from that comment that brightens your day. That message from someone checking up on you to see how you feel. Social media can so often be painted in such a bad light, but there is so much good there too. It adds colour to a sometimes drab and dreary world, it connects us to people we may never otherwise stumble across.
